so i tried FGBF for the first time today finally, and frankly i was underwhelmed. $13.50 for a cheeseburger, fries, and a coke, and it wasn't that much better than anywhere else. Rocky's has a better burger for cheaper, so i'm sticking with that

If youre in the states check out Heart Attack Grill, they cook their fries and patties (even the buns) in lard.

There was a guy not too long ago who finished their 11 patty burger. And if youre over 400 lbs you eat for free.

Are they still open? I know the one in Phoenix closed down. Which was too bad; good food and the "all you can eat fries" was great. You would go and get your first batch of fries as you waited for your burger.

There's a Five Guys opening in Red Deer. Wish they would hurry up and get the construction done.

There's one opening within walking distance of my house. I find their stuff to be mediocre.

I found 5 Guys to be good but not great. Tried the Airdrie location.

What is Fatburger like? There is a new one close to me.

Fatburger isn't the greatest. I find them to be like cheap put burger quality.

5 guys is good for what it is. It's more "fast food" style. But not the greatest I agree. It's expensive, but you get a ridiculous amount of food. Even a value meal at Wendy's is $8-$10.00 these days, so I still find 5 guys pretty solid value.

Rocky's is better for sure. I was there on Monday around 1:30 and they were closed, though...is that normal?

The year in burgers http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/1...burger_A_Smash

Re: Five Guys - I think this really defines why I like it. I think there are better burgers, but since it opened, nothing scratches the itch like having Five Guys

In Zagat's annual fast food survey, Five Guys topped the list for favorite fast food for large chains and for best burger. In another poll, this time by MarketForce, Five Guys was deemed the favorite fast food chain. So what is it about this burger that makes everyone go crazy for it? Well, for one, it's made to order. It's a nice classic burger, made well. And sometimes, that's exactly what you want.

According to their website, and I've been burned here in the past, their is a location opening up at 2524 36 Street NE.

Why must you spurn the NW five guys, why?

I work in the EB Games in Deerfoot Meadows mall and you can literally smell the reek of Five Guys when people come in that have just eaten there.

I dunno, there's something not right when you spend 20, maybe 30 minutes in a restaurant and leave with the place's smell just wafting off of you. Turned me off of it.
