The round corners are dominoed to the flat laminations.
Initially clamped with ratchet straps, then ratchet straps taken off when the other clamps were in place.

CNC router.
Altogether I bought 48 board feet of walnut. In the end, 40-50% of it will end up as sawdust.

Walnut is pricey. Will you share how much 48 board feet cost? I mean you're getting three pieces of nice furniture, so it's worth it IMO.

So I have never built anything in my life. Until a year or two ago, the only power tool I had was a drill. I have always been fascinated with building going back to the early 90s and watching This Old House, New Yankee Workshop, and Hometime on PBS every Saturday.
But after thinking about this project for a long time, I went for it. I am building my kids a treehouse! Fortunately/unfortunately, I am still working full time, so I am just trying to fit in a few hours when I can.
Here is the base and the ladder:
And I am working on the walls now:
It is definitely not fine/finish carpentry like many of the amazing projects you guys have, but I am pretty jazzed with how its turned out so far. While I have zero background in building things, I do have a degree in math, so it helped with actually figuring out how to make this all work.

Yup. Sliding Table saw, planer, shaper (my dad doesn't use that much).

Here’s a look at the legs placed on the top. So this is a rough idea of what they will look like upside down.
The coffee table has the one “rough” piece that needs to be added as a brace for the underside.
Here’s the glueup of the coffee table. I think there’s 18 clamps on there:
Here’s a look at the strengthened on the underside of the coffee table top - these will be hidden unless you lean way down and look inside. Screw holes are slots to allow the wood to shrink and move. Legs will be fastened with slots as well, for the same reason.

I’ve been working on my house a bunch, but finally got some time to work on my coffee tables today.
Some final sanding and then finishing to go:

New file cabinet - my first crack at a 'nice' piece of cabinetry with drawers. Walnut ply case and solid Walnut drawer fronts. Many learnings with this one.
