First time I saw it in 3D. It wasn't bad but some moments where definitely enhanced by the 3D compared to the standard viewing.

Well it looks like I'm off the hook. My parents went to Ontario to spend time with my sisters family, and my dad decided to take my nephews to The Force Awakens tomorrow. I think its kind of cool in a way that he's going to be able to go with a 17 year old and a 10 year old and deal with that.
I'm sure that he'll grumble about the cost, but I hope that he enjoys it.
For me, I'm free and clear, we're still going to go when he gets back, but I'm going to go see it this weekend, since I'm off on a break from Thursday through to Jan 4th.
I'm tired of my friends talking about the movie and me having to shout at them to shut up and clubbing them with an open handed slap when they start to spoil things.
I was playing old republic last night, and the biggest complaint in the game right now is that some idiots are randomly spamming spoilers through the chat and email system.

I would reserve any face palms for the IMDb message boards. Ugh. Such stupidity beyond any of the misogyny stuff in the spoiler thread. Sad you have to actually have an account to report some of the asinine posts.

Oh god why did you have to direct me there? I was done after I read this quote from a prequel fanyboy who was trashing the movie:
Quote:
My ratings are not always like the IMDB average score because I only enjoy intelligent movies
|
Because the prequels are so smartly written...

saw the movie last night, and really enjoyed it. my daughter asked if we could watch all 6 of the other movies.
the one thing that drove me nuts though was that it sure seemed like a record number of commercials being shown prior to the movie starting.....

Ughhh that sucks, I've been playing as well and haven't seen anyone post spoilers (I'm on Harbinger) Sadly, I got spoiled watching Fallon's "Mean Tweets" on youtube, some dick posted a spoiler in the comments, it didn't take away from enjoying the film though.

No kidding, there were close to 10 minutes of commercials (not counting movie trailers) when I saw it. I could've waited to get my popcorn until everyone else was in the theater instead of lining up and still made it to my seat with plenty of time to spare.

Yeah I'm on bastian right now, my Sith Inquisitor looks like Kylo Ren now that I've found the right cloak and a basic Reven looking mask. Of course my guy is completely evil and powerful.
Except when I try to do the heroic Star Fortress, I'm having a lot of trouble getting past the Pretorian. #######.

I probably would have anyways . Its tough staying spoiler free, I know some things, probably when I go in I'll have guessed some others. But I think I'm pretty close to clear. I've refused to read reviews etc, and the last thing I read was an article from Star Wars Insider from a few months back.

Soloing the Heroic Fortress is super hard from what I understand. The best combo is Tank/Heals, and there is an achievment (One for All? I think) if you can do it without the buffs, my main is a squishy Sin so I haven't tried it yet.

Yeah, its funny, but for the most part everything is soloable, but that Sky Fortress is tough. Even with a 50 Lana healer, and my guy having 216 armor and weapons, that ####### basically stuns me unconcious kills Lana and then laughs at me while he crushes me.
I'll get it eventually, but man.

I'm 30 hours away from finally seeing it! Done work today, last pre-Christmas family gathering thingy tonight, and then tomorrow I'm all clear! My kids are super pumped already. We watched all the movies leading up, except for Episode 3, which we'll get to tomorrow morning.
I'm already expecting to see it several times over the break. Only taking my boys tomorrow as our daughter is too young to sit through a movie. Then I'll take my wife. Then I'll take my wife to see the movie. Then I'll take my kids again, maybe I'll take my daughter after I've seen it a couple of times and it won't matter to me that I have to be distracted to deal with her. I'm totally going to see it several times in the next 10 days.
I have a friend who bought one ticket for himself on opening night. Then he found out his oldest kid will be in town and wanted to see the last showing of the night. So he bought another ticket. He was going to see it twice on opening night. Then his friend had an extra ticket for sneak preview night... then his boss wanted to take him to the morning showing on Saturday morning. So, he saw the movie 4 times in less than 48 hours and he loved it... he is so critical of movies, seeing him love it after 4 viewings gave me great hope.
There is no way I'm going to focus at work today. Last day of work before Christmas holidays AND I'm seeing a new Star Wars movie tomorrow!

I've seen it twice so far, and both times I checked my watch when the Lucasfilm logo came up and both times it was 18 minutes after the scheduled "start" time.

Going to see the movie tonight after the Flames game!
It would be even better if my Star Wars ugly Christmas sweater arrives today.
