When I was a kid, my mom would buy Rogers Golden Syrup for cooking. I didn't like it on pancakes, but it might work for you.

I think Roger’s sugar makes a syrup. Not sure if it’s any good but I’m pretty sure it’s Canadian made.

Also, ED Smith has a table syrup that's "Prepared in Canada" (whatever that means -- I think it means the factory is in Canada but the ingredients may be imported): https://edsmith.com/edsmith_product/...r-added-syrup/
It might be closer to a pancake syrup than the Rogers product.

Summerland Sweets has a plethora of syrups if you’re not into maple. They’re pretty delicious.

If someone tells Marjorie Taylor Green that the word tariff is Arabic in origin she might convince Trump to have a war on Tarrifism.

You can make your own syrup with brown sugar, water, and maple flavouring. Easy peasy and you can probably adjust the sweetness to your own taste. Google knows all about it.

Trump now saying this evening that tariffs will apply on all countries, (whereas previous messaging is that the tariffs would apply on "worst 15%" of countries.)

We don't need energy from Canada. We don't need lumber from Canada. We don't need anything from Canada. We don't need cars from Canada, for example.

Also...
Tariffs are projected to raise $6 Trillion over 10 years.

Navarro’s remarks suggest Trump is preparing dramatic new measures for Wednesday, which the president has referred to as “Liberation Day.” Navarro is known to be among the most hawkish voices in the president’s inner circle on trade, and it was not immediately clear if he was speaking to official administration policy or for one side of an internal debate over the tariffs. But Navarro’s comments are sure to rattle markets amid intensifying fears about the global trade war that Trump’s tariffs have started.

Personally, I'd love to import a JDM one day! A Pajero, Alphard or Skyline would be fun

Personally I hate this idea. JDM cars are typically right hand drive. We dont need more safety hazards on our roads as daily drivers.

I prefer them over maple most days. They're incredible.

Looking at their website and see they're based in the Okanokan, Summerland of course. Don't think I've ever seen these around. Available at Superstore, Safeway or Co-op?

Actually I don’t know where to get them around here. I would usually grab a couple when visiting BC Tree Fruits shop (R.I.P.) in Kelowna. I’d suspect Co-op or Sunterra would have them.

My kids are absolutely nuts over the summerland blueberry syrup. Like, jump off the top rope smackdown to get some level nuts.

They're not safety hazards now because I'd like to think someone importing a JDM is a car enthusiast and typically at least average or above average driver.
Make it easier for the general market, and from what I've seen of typical drivers on the road, I'm not confident they won't make it a safety hazard.
