Maybe they shouldn't have spiked the ball to calm everyone down and think about a play.
That's just inexperience though. Nothing like bad coaching yesterday.

same rookie mistake by Powers-Johnson in a critical situation that Frazier made in the Steelers-Colts game a few weeks ago.
Carlson would have probably missed anyway.

I'm disappointed they didn't get a chance to kick, Carlson booting it up his center's ass would have been legendary.

Michaels and Herbstreit once again were totally oblivious to what was happening on the field. They are just terrible.

As much as it stings not to beat the Chiefs, it’s the perfect outcome. The win would be totally meaningless as they need to stay in contention for the 1st overall pick. There’s some decent young players on the team and they just have to continue to build via the draft. I think they can draft a QB and hopefully AOC is good enough to be a bridge QB for a season.

I hate the Raiders and I hate the Chiefs but with a few obnoxious Raider fan friends that chirped me after the blocked FG on the Broncos all I can say is LOL

They will soon enough, likely on Netflix if this Christmas double header goes off smoothly enough. Speaking of that, is Satan gonna rise when we get Steelers-Chiefs on Christmas Day? The two most blessed teams in the league right now playing might open the seventh circle.

There's a couple decent NCAA games with rivalry week tonight.

I appreciate your ability to stay humble after all the rings, but that's not happening. The difference between the teams mentioned earlier and the Chiefs is: Mahomes, Patrick.
As mid as they've looked this year, there's something to be said about a team that always pulls out tight games. They're clutch.

Yeah, but regression is also very real. One-score games are generally considered 50/50 affairs in the NFL. Winning 14 in a row is essentially flipping a coin and having it land on heads every time.

It's too bad we can't rig up a Chiefs-Bears game. The team that seemingly cannot lose a close game against the team who seemingly cannot win one. Would probably be entertaining as hell.

Not sure it would have the same charm without Eberflus.

It has a similar feel to what the Eagles were after their 10-1 start last year. At some point it turns and you get on the wrong end of those. Especially when your QB is getting hit a lot more and your defence loses its edge.
In this case I don't think it's the players tuning out the coordinators and internal dysfunction that I think happened in Philly last year. I think the Chiefs problems are more talent related. Teams know where their weaknesses are and they're attacking them there, and the Chiefs are not coming up with a way to counter it right now.

What's real is that the Chiefs with the officials and football gods in their back pocket are simply going to win nearly every close game they play in as regression only factors in to teams that aren't receiving gratuitous calls and bounces. Being better than the Chiefs on gameday simply isn't good enough for any team. They have to beat them in a manner where even the officials or a bad bounce cannot intervene.

ResA and I were sounding the alarms about that 10-1 record last year. I knew they were frauds.
I'm still not 100% sure they can win a game where Saquon gets shut down, but we'll see.
