The freedom truck protests were dumb. Having pedestrians walk into the biggest and highest traffic freeway in Canada, also not a good idea. The police were protecting those people from themselves, not trying to break to the protest.

Tranny, compadre, get off the Twitter/X platform. It's not healthy for your mental wellbeing and is poisoning your mind. There is nothing good to come from the major anti-social media platforms. You can find better and much more accurate sources of information elsewhere. It's getting sad how much sensationalistic BS you're falling for and allowing a tiny pimple on the moles ass to be turned into Mt. Everest.

I noticed this in this thread and other political threads. What is the platform of choice to get as unbiased a news feed as possible, these days? Where are people going?

The Gardiner Expressway is critical infrastructure. They have no right to be attempting to block its use from citizens and emergency vehicles. They should be arrested for even trying.

First and foremost, ditch ALL social media sites. They are cesspools of hate and salacious garbage meant to rot your brains. Anything that does not stake its reputation or revenue on the quality of journalism it involves itself in is not worth following. If the entity does not do investigative journalism and instead deals only in amplifying opinion through reposting and twisting the work of others, it ain't worth following. Opinions are like #######s. Everyone has one, they're usually full of ####, and stink for days without proper hygiene practices applied.
The top sources of information I recommend are those that follow journalistic standards or come from countries where balance and truth is required in generating content (Columbia Journalism Review is a great place to see journalism criticized). Sources can vary by country, but reputation and integrity really matters. Here are my go-tos.
1. BBC - Usually solid and right on the money, especially on the international coverage.
2. CBC - Canada should be proud of the job done by the CBC and its reputation abroad. Well earned.
3. New York Times - The Gray Lady is the newspaper of record for reason. Quality journalism way more right than wrong.
4. Washington Post / Boston Globe - Both do fantastic investigative journalism.
6. Der Spiegel - Like the BBC but with German precision and zero sense of humor.
7. Al Jazeera - One of, if not the best, investigative journalism bodies outside the west. This is what happens when you hire away half of the BBC.
8. Christian Science Monitor - While only a weekly and a failing publication there is still some stunningly great journalism that comes out of this pub. Could be because I'm old too.
9. The Economist - CSM but with an accent. ;-)
10. NPR/PBS - Best radio and television coverage in the US.
11. C-SPAN - The unvarnished truth because it broadcasts the horse's asses in action?
12. Associated Press - The centralized catchall where global news comes in before the spin.
13. Reuters - Like AP, but a second voice.
14. PEW Research Center - The only opinions that matter. Those of average citizens and only on questions specific to current events.
15. ABC, NBC, CBS News. Still follow journalistic standards and try to provide balance.

Al Jazeera… what a load of BS. State sponsored Qatar garbage. One of the most biased places you can get your news, especially for this conflict.
Hey Lanny, maybe get a history textbook on the subject. You need it.

Free Palestine protests are a great place to spot jew hatred, leftists needing something to yell at, and people who just want to throw a public tantrum. I promise you most of these people could not point to Gaza on a world map, let alone name 3 Israeli prime ministers. It’s a virtue signalling mosh pit.
Why don’t arabs ever protest the war in Yemen in Canada? Far more innocent people have been killed. I wonder if it has to do with the Jews. I wonder. Nice seeing Taliban flags being flown around in Toronto, it’s a great look.

I don’t, I hate the lack of condemnation from greater Arab world, I hate how Hamas uses Palestinians as a pawn for Iran. I hate how Palestinian supporters ask all the wrong questions, why cannot I find one F hamas poster at these rallies? I am anti-Hamas and anyone who gives them an excuse.
The fact people on here think the Israeli response is too harsh is laughable. It has not even started yet. Some of the accounts of what has been found in the Israeli towns is worse than what the Nazis did. Fetuses ripped out of stomachs, children and parents tied together and burned alive, but where is the protests against Hamas from the Pro-Palestine supporters? Always the victim. When Israel goes in to remove the human filth that is Hamas you will see people on here and throughout the world scream about the civilians deaths, but these deaths all can be attributed to Hamas. This is Hamas’s doing and their supporters in the West Bank and Gaza are complicit.

If I was Jewish/Israeli right now I'd hate Palestinians as well, if I was Palestinian I'd hate Jews, the hatred on both sides is completely understandable and us sitting here with no blood on the floor and no dead family members judging either side is as good an example of white privilege as I can think of

Well, there’s 14 others he provided in his list. Maybe don’t fixate on just one.

Can’t criticize the Palestinians without saying I hate them, but you are the same person who criticizes everything about Israel but then cries when someone infers you might not like Jews. Interesting
I mean at least Q is honest when he says he does not think Jews should be in the middle east. You just virtue signal.

It goes deeper than that, before Oct 7th Jews had a dislike for the antics but I doubt as a whole it wasn't exactly hatred, but Arabs in general have always hated the Jews. Name a time when Israel dropped bombs that wasn't in retaliation?
I hate to think what that region would be like if there wasn't an iron dome.

CNN's forensic analysis of videos and photos suggests the deadly hospital explosion occurred after a rocket launched from within Gaza broke up midair and partly landed on the medical complex. CNN's Jeremy Diamond reports.

This is what gets me.
All the Israeli killings of innocents are always justified.
Are the settler murders on the West Bank security related or just pure sectarian and part of a land grab?

Not that it shouldn't be obvious already, but the Defense Minister issued a statement that says Canada is confident that Israel was not behind the hospital attack.
