The length means nothing as long as there aren't a lot of guarantees.

What do you mean? These contracts aren't guaranteed. He's the league MOP.

I don't know if there is an equivalent in football -- maybe Drew Brees after his shoulder surgery? I mean, Collaros was a decent QB until I think he had concussion issues... but since being traded to Winnipeg he's been seemingly unstoppable.

Collaros struggled for a couple of years before being traded to the Peg and suddenly got back on track and has enjoyed tremendous success. The fear I have is that the same thing might happen with Bo if he goes to another team next year.

He was actually really good for the Argos and Ti-Cats but then the concussions happened and I think it took years for him to get healthy.

It's a little different because Collaros had concussion issues and his mechanics and ability to throw the ball was never compromised. Bo's arm has been compromised by his injury. He could have a bit of an uptake in a new offense but you can't worry about what he may do on another team because the reality is that he wasn't getting it done for the Stamps and you don't stick with him just out of fear he may play better on another team. His accuracy has never been a strength and despite operating out of the same playbook his entire career, there were far too many times he was throwing balls nowhere near a receiver. I just don't know if some of his issues are fixable. I would be totally fine if he went to say Toronto and had some solid years as he's been a quality player for this organization and I would hope for nothing but the best for him. If he goes to the Riders that would suck because I would have to cheer for him to fail and I don't want that.

and no legs either. Maybe he can start throwing left handed.

Just seeing him try to throw takes away any fear for me, personally.

Turns out Fajardo's absence was much ado about nothing:

Interesting strategy coming out of a bye week though -- not sure if it means they want to see their backups getting more reps in practice, or perhaps they think Fajardo might actually do better with less practice...

it would be interesting to sit down with him in the pub and ask him why things have worked out so well for him in Wpg. He ssemingly has great chemistry with demski and schoen - but is there more that that. Does he have a say in the design of the offence?

i think someone guys really want to play for mike o'shea and he and the other coaches and front office have seemingly constructed an incredible team atmosphere there.

I am sure none of the bobmers have to wait in line anyplace in winnipeg for service and i doubt they pay retail for any goods

i somehow wish all teams would start to replicate what the bombers' have done to really give the league credibility

That's quite the flip-flop. Why make up the vet day off thing? It's like they were scared to hurt Fajardo's feelings or something.

Not a good look for him to make those comments especially with a couple of games to go. Bo has accomplished far more in his CFL career and he handled losing his starting job like a total pro.

Yeah weird messaging from Craig Dickenson to say the least. I have to think he’s on the hot seat given how this season has transpired.

As for Fajardo, I imagine he’s done with the Riders just as much as the Riders are probably done with him. As a UFA at the end of the season, this might have been the last straw.

Fajardo's issue is he isn't a good QB. When they list faith as one your strengths you probably suck.
