Reto Berra has been traded to Colorado.

Joey MacDonald has been recalled to Calgary to backup Ortio tonight.

Guess the Heat need to scramble to sign a goalie to a PTO tonight.

Could see Ortio back when Ramo returns. Maybe CGY keeps a Ramo/MacDonald combo and rides Ramo for the most part to continue to see what we have of him.

Those are the two guys I'd like to see as well. Sven replaces Hudler in the top-6 and Wotherspoon gets a chance to get a sniff of what the NHL is like. Then I'd say send him back and bring up Smith/Billins.

I think all of these guys will return to Abby for playoffs, this will be good for them to

A. continue to play at a high level
B. Give them experience at professional playoff hockey
C. continue to develop chemistry

So it may scuk for a few more weeks but they will return and hopefully go deep into the playoffs and....maybe win a title?

At full strength, I think this Heat team has a chance to go to the Western Conference finals. It's a tough division with about 3 elite teams. I think the Heat can go that far this year with everyone playing at the top of their game.

...Plus getting Ortio back.

I would love to see lines like this for the playoffs. The extras are listed in the order I would use them. I am assuming Ferland is done for the year. Players in italics are ones who can join the Heat when their seasons are complete.
