Nenshi, in his early days at least, was prolific on social media with posts that sliced through whatever BS his opponents were pitching. Maybe too much the smartest guy in the room, but he was definitely one of them. ‘Politics in full sentences’ was a great tag line.
I don’t know if he lost his spark or what but he’s pretty invisible even for social media junkies and the incisive wit is missing. Smith is also a tougher nut to crack since she also talks in full sentences and sounds like she’s knowledgeable, if you ignore the content

It doesn't help that the news papers and sites most people read are controlled by Americans with the same views as the UCP, so the UCP gets a media advantage from garbage opinion pieces and news departments that won't go after her nearly as hard as they should.

I’m not. Keep that American slop out of the country. Smith is trying to ingratiate herself with Trump and his ilk.

Nenshi cheering for the Oilers is probably hurting his odds in Calgary

UCP supporters are treasonous ####s, so it tracks that UCP supporters in Calgary have no issue with Smith supporting the oilers

Why do they need to strike when they're about to be off 2 months very soon?
What're they gonna do, just sit around and twiddle their thumbs??
This is ridiculous. They need to learn from good hard working Oil and Gas workers about what TRUE hard work is!
Smith will not stand for this!

I know you’re kidding but for those who aren’t aware, voting to strike doesn’t mean they have to go on strike right away. It just gives the ATA some additional leverage in negotiations.

Specifically it allows them to go on strike any time in the next 120 days with 72 hours notice. 120 days from today is October 8. Most likely any action would take place in the fall.

Airdrie mayor Peter Brown and staff worked in secret with a developer and the premier's office to get a private hospital using money earmarked for upgrading a public hospital.
