My friend flew coach on the same flight that Johnny and Gio flew on when they went to an All-Star game.

I know we are talking about professional sports but don't we wish we had these problems...

I'm getting paid millions a year and I have to fly business class! Also, my team is only giving me $100 to spend on dinner every night, outside of my normal millions!

That said, I totally get why this perception can turn a player and their family/agent away from this team and toward teams that put their players on a pedestal and treat them like royalty.

edit: Buff's confirmation.
I'm not sure I buy this. Some of these things are regulated by the CBA. The travel thing seems like major whining. What do they want? A chartered aircraft or private plane for their individual travel?

The story goes everyone else got a private jet to the ASG but who knows.

Tulsky and Darche are great candidates, don’t know my much about MacKinnon (apparently he was a scout with Pittsburgh, now an AGM in New Jersey).

Exactly, who knows. I'd like confirmation of this before pushing the team under the bus. The CBA outlines a lot of the expectation for the teams to meet when dealing with the players.

It’s only a matter of scale. If my job sent me to a national retreat standby on Spirit and gave me McDonald’s money as a per diem when the industry standard is to fly business class on United and a normal sit down meal as per diem I’d be pissed too.

I hope Calgary's three finalists are Bergevin, Nonis, and Chiarelli.

I'm a little confused too. Buff's buddy said he flew coach, not them. Unless I'm missing something.

This would have been the ASG where Gaudreau was a last minute add and elevated from the rookie game right (LOL - just recalled it was in Columbus - foreshadowing)?

I doubt many teams charter for a guy or two. They fly them business. But to Columbus they may not have had a whole lot of options.

They may be cheap on something but I doubt that’s the main reason they lose players. People want to get paid then the people they work with like their boss would be second

If Treliving had wanted to stay and negotiations with Mur on his extension were ongoing right now as Tkachuk's star rises, what level of white hot anger would fans feel against him?

Like two suns worth? Three?

Mad at Tre because a player wanted to play in the states and he's playing as well as everyone thought he would?
