Watching the Rublev Tsitsipas match. Real talk, what weapons do either of these guys have that could trouble Nadal or Djokovic? Like, anything these guys do... Nadal and Djokovic do better. As well, Nadal and Djokovic have that winners mentality. Like, seriously?

The short answer is no, especially on clay. Neither of these guys have the consistency to outlast Djoker or Rafa from the baseline. I suppose you can try to be ultra-aggressive and come to the net, but with the slow conditions, it's not going to be a successful ploy. These guys do have some weapons (they both can serve big and have strong forehands), but they're better suited for hard courts.

Well, Rublev was serving for the opening set at 5-4 and three games later, Greek Yogurt takes it 7-5. Rublev was cruising and then hit a speed wobble.

Tsitsipas has a 2-3 record against Djokovic which is actually pretty good and his record is 1-5 against Nadal but his one win was on clay last year.
Also let's not forget Djokovic has to get by PCB first who in all fairness was leading in the first set against Djokovic before he hit the lines woman with the ball.

PCB isn't the typical Spaniard though, he prefers hard courts to the dirt despite what Nick Kyrgios believes lol.

It's amazing how often that happens in tennis. A player serves for the set/match and gets broken not once, but twice.

It's less amazing on clay though, always harder to hold on clay as we know.

Djokovic down a break. He's giving of the same vibes when Stan beat him in the US open. Retirement incoming?

Djoker can always smack a linesperson if he's not feeling up to the grind today. but can he really be stopped now that he has the power of NECK TAPE??

PCB has no tactics, just content to try out rally Djoker which almost no one can do.

We'll see if the king of clay can rally with Novak assuming that Rafa beats Diego and Djoker can get by Tsitsipas. Rublev couldn't believe he lost that first set the way he did and just couldn't recover, it will be a much tougher match against Novak. We found out recently that Schwartman can win 2 sets on clat against Rafa, can he win three?

My biggest concern for Rafa is his lack of match play coming into the French Open. Last year he had to build up to it and he lost some matches he normally doesn't during the clay season. This year he only played 3 matches before the French while Djokovic has been playing (and winning) lots these past few months.

Maybe somebody should ask PCB about that extended break he took before the start of the 5th set in his match at the US Open against Shapo...
Pablo Carreno Busta accused Novak Djokovic of gamesmanship during their French Open quarter-final on Wednesday as he felt the world's top-ranked player did not have any genuine health issues despite appearing to battle injury problems.
"Each time he is in trouble he usually does it, that means to say that he was in trouble, that he wasn't comfortable and that I was playing at a high level and was causing him to doubt himself," Carreno Busta told reporters in Spanish.
"Every time a match gets complicated he asks for medical assistance. He has been doing this for a long time. I already knew that. I knew it would happen at the U.S. Open, I knew it would happen here and I know it will keep on happening.

So Swiatek is into the French Open final after dispatching Nadia Podoroska rather easily 6-2 6-1. It is a bit of a consolation prize in that Genie has given her the toughest competition thus far? Whomever emerges victorious between Kenin and Kvitova will have their hands full with the kid from Poland.

The youngsters are certainly dominating the women's game - You have Kenin, Osaka, Bianca (please return soon), and the emergence of Swiatek.

Swiatek is also into the semi-finals in women's doubles alongside partner Nicole Melichar.
