Yea, I have rescue mag on my conspiracy theory as well. It procs all the time if you are in a melee fight. Very underrated and very strong perk.

I haven't played IB at all this week. Not because I'm completely opposed to playing it, but I've been doing some late nights at work, and a bunch of my buddies will be playing the Division beta this weekend. Also got into Season 5 of Diablo, which is so much easier to play because it's right on my work laptop so I can always get in a few rifts whenever I can catch a break lol.
I'm just sad because this might be the first time I haven't been fully invested in IB ever. I still may try to get a character to Rank 5 before it ends though!
Finally got the dang hard mode hunter helm. Dropped at 320 as well. Actually i was super lucky this week. I got the 320 helm, 320 artifact, 310 legs and a 308 pulse rifle. All off of Oryx.
I had the 20 mouldering shards and had popped a 3 of coins.
So when i kill oryx do i have to wait for the week starting once ive killed him, or does it reset on a certain day?

It resets every Tuesday morning at 2:00 am (Calgary time). Same as Nightfall and Shaxx bounties.
Were you able to complete Challenge Mode as well?
So apparently the Valentines event is Doubles Elimination variant, where when one team mate dies, the other one gets a bunch of perks. Sounds pretty neat actually.
Yeah, now that i kinda know what im doing the challenge mode is pretty simple. Truthfully I find the Oryx challenge to be the easiest way to down him, so thats the way we usually go about him.

I have heard a couple people say that. Not to rub salt into the wound but i have only run hard mode twice now. All i need is the chiton to complete the set. Ive received only 1 harrowed weapon (sniper) though. The sniper dropped at 313, i was thinking of infusing my 1000 yard stare (300) with it.

Legendaries get 80% of the the difference when the difference is more than 6 points. Might be worth holding onto until you get can your 1KYS to 307
I still don't have the crotas end hunter helm or cloak, and I main a hunter.
Easily 25+ runs just as a hunter.

Managed to go flawless last night on my terrible warlock that I hit 40 on yesterday. 297 light, and mostly blue armor. Really noticed the difference in damage dealt / taken.

Really? Salty on a scout/fusion combo? I'm usually more impressed by guys like that who can run something that's not meta haha. That's why I always feel a little bit shameful running my Mida/shotgun combo lol.

Yea it was really weird, but also hilarious as the guy that quit was an invis bladedancer with mida/conspiracy theory.
I get people being upset by Mida/Shotgun/x3 rez lock with viking funeral, voidfang, ignite. But Fusion / Scout is a pretty tough combo to run effectively, and my teammate is awesome at it. He smashes with Plan C.
I do love when people send hate mail after a loss though. Makes it so much sweeter.

Got an amazing roll on the adept scout rifle, full auto + third eye. Really happy with that.

The special ammo changes really impact the game. Almost everyone I played against had an icebreaker or invective equipped in the first round, I wonder if that will be the new meta in Trials.

Not that I don't disagree with the idea of reducing special weapon dependency but all they've done is just change how the first 30 seconds of ang match plays out. Either you'll have NLB, Icebreaker or Sidearms until you do pick up special/die so in the end, not really an effective change.

The more and more I enjoy playing around in Rumble with friends, the more I wish we could have private lobbies to practice and mess around with.
I haven't played for a while - the lack of new content has lessened my desire to play lately. What are the special ammo changes? Is this just for the special event, or is this a permanent change?

Much like a sports ticker, you may feel obligated to read this
In 3v3 games (elimination, trials, salvage, skirmish) you don't spawn with special ammo anymore. The exception to this is sidearms.
Basically, over the last few days the meta in those game types has shifted to weapons that generate ammo (invective/icebreaker) or to NLB/sidearm.
My guess is that trials this week will be dominated by NLB/sidearm in the first few rounds, or someone will simply equip a sidearm to start, and jump off the map. While dead, switch to sniper, and have your teammate revive you. Presto - instant snipe ammo.

Didn't get to play on Tuesday because I forgot to put my PS on rest mode to download the patch. So I only got to play Doubles starting yesterday. But yeah that was pretty annoying seeing all the sidearms/IBs yesterday. Surprisingly not as many Thorns as I thought there'd be. The only game I saw with Thorns were these two yutzes running Thorns in Pantheon. They were firing it from across the map in the sniper lane. At that range, even the Thorn barely tickles you. I'm pretty bad at adapting so situations, but even I know not to use HCs on rangy maps.
Suffice it to say we wiped the floor with those guys lol.
