That's really cool that people still remember that years later.
I'm still good friends with one of the guys I did it with, and we talk about bringing it back from time to time. But I think we would need to do something different now, including because I can no longer consume that many cheeseburgers! We actually had a concept for something new, and a local entertainment/flood blog that was going to publish it, and then COVID hit and wiped that out.

Always loved that as I'm a huge burger guy and it helped me find a few new places I wouldn't have otherwise gone to. Maybe now that Covid has passed by and a bunch of restaurants have opened/are opening, a one off burger review trip around the city would fit into your lives?
Would love to see it.

I wonder if the BurgerQuest saga would be more doable if you guys only ate a quarter or half a burger to save your arteries?
I haven’t had any great burgers while rating out lately, but ended up getting the bacon cheddar stuffed burgers from the frozen section at Costco and threw them on the bbq. They’re pretty delicious, though the beef could use a little seasoning.

Any recommendations for best crab cakes in town? My wife used to love Hy's, but they changed it in the last year and it's not scratching the itch anymore.

Don't have a rec but we love them as well. Bought can of the lump crab meat from Boyds (it was expensive) and made our own, froze a bunch because we had too many. They were awesome. Its a pretty simple thing to make.
Anyone have a good place for Mussels? Cilantro had the best ever. Black bean white cream sauce. It was like what you'd imagine tasting tongue darting Beyonce.

It's been a while since I was there, but I remember the mussels at Fleur de Sel being very good.
Not quite the same thing, but I also enjoyed the cioppino at the Inn in Currie Barracks.

For mussels I would recommend either the Nash (Thai curry broth served with fries and focaccia) or Carino which is a Japanese/ Italian fusion place. Their mussels are served in a hot pot broth with Italian sausage, and are served with really good fries.

Ate at Cardinale earlier this week. Great meal. They make their own pasta fresh every day.

Has anyone been to Clay Oven before for the buffet?
I’m starting to get into Indian cuisine and would like to try things that I’ve obviously never seen before.
I’m just hoping with the buffet they hold that these dishes are a decent representations of what I could expect off a restaurants menu closer to home.

Very average food overall at Clay Oven.
If you want some authentic Indian food then you have to come to deep NE and the two restaurants I recommend would be Spice Room and Guru India (NE location)
