Insane that 4 full seasons have passed since this pick, and we may only be a week or two away from seeing Jankowski play NHL games. It's been a long time coming.

I hate to do that because I'd like to see him win back to back championships but I'm with ya. An early loss significantly increases the chances that he signs here if he's allowed to burn a year off his ELC and play a few NHL games.

I hope Providence wins again and Jankowski is named MVP and than he signs
with us without burning a year.

Well I for one hope he has a superb tournament leading his team to the frozen four. Another team than proceeds to offer him the maximum ELC available with every bonus they are allowed under the CBA.
Flames then go on to draft Kailer Yamamoto 51st overall in 2017, who drops due to a injury plagued season/size concerns.
He then develops into a star giving Flames a full line of Gaudreaus (Mangiapane is other) just as the team is peaking in 2018-2019. We still lose to Oilers in WCF due to them having 6 Giordanos to our 1.

Game will be at 2:30MT. You can watch it if you have the TSNGo app. Hopefully I can watch it if all I have to do is enter my cable credentials. If I do I'll try and post some insights of Jankowski as this is the first time seeing him good quality.
i've been watching the providence game, it's tied at 0-0 thus far. jank hasn't looked great, but neither has the team. providence has had trouble breaking out and keeping offensive pressure on, much like the flames. gilmour has had some good looks.
There's approximately zero offense in this game but I do sort of see what you hear about Jankowski needing to play faster to make it in the NHL. He skates pretty well but often times he's a bit slow to make decisions with the puck when he gets it.
