I use a buckwheat pillow, it's awesome.
The thing with the sleep clinics is they all make a good 30% on machine sales, plus the accessories you need to replace. It's good business to recommend a machine. You ask about the dental thing and immediately can tell they get no money, and have no interest selling alternatives.
I'm sure there are some honest clinics, but the one I went to didn't seem that way. I went with some cheap Amazon dental things and they worked fine. But Nasonex actually made the most difference, and my watch says my sleep is way better, and I had the first snoring complaint in ages a couple nights ago. That was because I got glutenated.
The online order was actually for my wife who wanted a travel machine, and I think it was close to half the cost as from her clinic. You have to setup the pressure yourself, but I suspect they have support.
Also just read about an apnea pill that sounds promising. Take before bed and it relaxes your throat muscles or something. Probably won't work for everyone, but another alternative.

The funny pillows did nothing for me but I have a giant tongue so the only thing that helped was a sleeping wedge pillow, basically it raises my head about 6 inches and makes my tongue press against my teeth and not fall back into my throat. Once I got one I stopped snoring immediately and when I did a sleep test with it I had "barely mentionable" sleep apnea results.
Best $40 I ever spent.

A bed wedge pillow may be used to enhance sexual intercourse for both parties. It can help with sexual positions.

Is it just me or are people being more liberal with their lead foot these days?
I'm getting passed like I'm at a red light all the time. Might be err on the side of being a little fast myself but I'm literally seeing guys all the time on Crowchild doing 120+ or Stoney at least 140+.

One has to wonder if the UCP’s decision to ban photo radar speed traps on these roads is a contributing factor

I’m debating a radar detector because cars just go fast now. It’s so easy to speed, and I’m thinking a detector is probably cheaper than tickets and hikes to my insurance rates…

Good. Those are decent speeds for those roads. This isn't the 1970's in terms of vehicle technology and safety. Canadian speed limits are stupid slow in most places.

It baffles me that a 6-lane divided highway (Stoney) can have the same 100 km/h speed limit as a single lane highway through the mountains (Revelstoke). And I won't even get started on the Hwy-1 limits through Banff park because that's an entire rant on it's own

The story I've been told with regards to Hwy 1 through the park is that it's basically a result of inflexible Alberta highway codes. The federal government doesn't have their own so they go with what the provinces have, and Alberta didn't have anything specifically for a 90km/h divided highway. But this was despite knowing that the speed limit through the park was always going to be limited. The intention was never to have a 110km/h+ highway through the national park, it was just the only type of divided Highway the province had the specs to build so Hwy1 through the national park and Stoney are built to similar specs.
So essentially they overbuilt the highway for what they knew the speed limit was going to be, rather than the speed limit being set lower than what the road was intended to handle, the latter being the case for Stoney AFAIK. but again, this is just what I heard and I haven't really dug into it so I could just be regurgitating complete twaddle from a disgruntled engineer. Maybe Acey would have more insight.

What about that 80km/h bull#### entering and leaving Calgary west? How many lanes before you can "safely" make the speed limit not stupid? Right now it's far more dangerous, because you have people going the speed limit, and people going a bit more, and those going HAHA #### this 110! So dumb.

Problem is we have to cater to the lowest common denominator. Most people are ####ty drivers.

While I'm sure your pristine condition no dirt no scratches city truck is necessary for your urban cowboy lifestyle if you could go ahead and not always park it right at the entrance of an alley that'd be just super. Lord I love almost getting smoked trying to pull out into the street.

I think I’m am gonna quit my job Friday, this level of depression is not good. Nothing to go to which is foolish but, I have too. I had life saving and prolonging miracle surgery and yet I’ve learned the best way to hang oneself in a closet because that is the most surefire way.

There’s a guy who parks on the street with his contractor trailer attached a few blocks from me. Impossible to see past it so you need to creep out or take a big chance of getting smashed into. Good times.
