A field goal would have still made it a 2 score game. A touchdown would make it 3. However this O-line is putrid.

In all fairness, I'm not super psyched about the stamps heading into the playoffs. Too many inconsistencies.

Quite the turnaround from a 5 win team a year ago to a 11 win team this season considering how young this team is as well.

Going from a 5 win team to an 11 game team with the youngest lineup in the league, in what was a rebuilding year, while going through a awful stretch of injuries this year. Yeah, I'm giving Dave and his coaching staff a lot of credit.
Bringing in a good duel threat veteran QB even with his inconsistencies was a key part of the turn around.
Over the last three games the offense hasn't been super spectacular, but very workman like behind the running of Mills. The defense in the last three games has hit at the level of the first 6 games and that makes the Stamps dangerous.
Can they beat the Lions? I don't know but the game plan has to be clock based, keep Rourke on the sidelines as much as you can and feature the run game to wear down the Lions defense. I would feel better facing off against the Bombers, I think we beat them going away if we face them, but I think the Bombers are resting a bunch of guys today and look like they're more interested in going through the East.

Despite upgrading at the QB position this was still largely a retooling season and save for that losing streak you can argue they were the best team in the league at times this season which bodes well for next season. Let's not forget they were missing their top WR for nearly the entire season and the defense which was considered work in progress has progressed nicely.

I wish I had a snappy comeback, but, I'd rather face the Bombers than the Lions too. Something about us is just off this year.
That said all it takes is a 2 game win streak and their hosting the Grey Cup. So. There's that.
