Oilers-Leafs is the only hypothetical series where you'd get near equal coverage/favour.

What SN fails to understand as the broadcasters is that every series and match up should be treated like the oilers vs Leafs.

You present the game and serve as conveyors of information for all audiences, you don't pick sides.

It's called professionalism. That used to be a thing in broadcasting once upon a time.

I hate the Oilers and Canucks about the same. The only reason that I may like to see Edmonton move into the next round is to have a Colorado-Oilers series. I think that would be fun. And I think they'd get stomped.
Not anymore.

I’d rather the Canucks take care of business now. Don’t want to see McDiver and Crysaddle everywhere for another round.

Remember when Tkachuk lit up Kassian and every oiler fan across the country was SEETHING about him not answering the bell for it? So he went out and did just that, fought him and moved on?

Does Zadorov get to dust Hyman now? Or does the code no longer apply?

Losers.

I hated the 2011 Canucks more than the 2011 Oilers. Not even close.

The irony is they are utterly missing the Cinderella story of a third string goalie who's played a handful of games jumping in and managing to keep a young team in their first playoffs in this iteration, that story is media gold and they have all but ignored it because it makes the Greasers look bad, they are covering Silov's like he's a normal goalie and this is no big deal

I really hope Zadorov picks his spots in game four as the officials will likely be ready to pounce on anything they can justify as a penalty. I'm sure the Oilers have been complaining non-stop about those mean Canucks bullies.

All incidences of foul play eh

Sorry.. what separates this from a slew of other incidents as being the only worthy of suspension?

Seen a lot of dangerous #### in this series alone with intent involved, whereas soucy's was incidental in where the crosscheck landed

Yeah... Keep professing the name plate doesn't affect judgment.

Plus it will make Pissy even more pissy about not being able to get out of the second round. It is "Cup or bust" isn't it?

Oilers fans like to act like the BoA series "broke" the flames. Boy would it be poetic to have this series send their organization into a spiral that sees McDiver and Drai walk out on them

Can't believe they're catering to idiots like Stauffer howling like a toddler for a suspension.

Appease the babies, they just turn into bigger, even more entitled babies and the standard for what they feel entitled to cry about gets even slimmer.

Let the big boy fight his own battles. If he ever gets a cup, no one wants to see anything but him being full credit for earning it. Protecting him at every turn by a different rule book tarnishes that.

Yep
The Canucks just have to play their game now and let the Oilers do the running around. Vancouver is in the process of setting up permanent residency between Edmontons ears.
Time to put the boot on the throat and begin pressing

The remote chance that your children could wind up drafted by the oilers seems as good a reason to not have kids as any.

Truly the worst case scenario for any family.

Wondering if mods would setup a poll on how many people on this site prefer Canucks vs Oilers.

Me = Canucks

Canucks 1
Oilers 0

This version of the Canucks is easier to cheer for than the Bieksa/Kesler/Burrows era. No one has a face I want punch and having Z & Lindy on the team helps.

They've also been irrelevant for nearly a decade.

Does anyone else feel like it is a McDrai issue, why the Oilers have no depth? These guys beg to play together and never leave the ice, every playoffs.

Why can't you put McDavid, pissy and Hyman all in their own lines and spread out the depth? I honestly feel like McDavid wouldn't allow this, because it hurts his points for.

Why are Lindholm, Boeser and Petterson fine being on whatever line the coach asks, while McPissy need to be paired together? I honestly think this is a leadership issue just as much as a depth issue.

Why do you think they hired McAvi's junior coach? Isn't it obvious?
