The red is too muted; they're going for an 'open sign' vibe, but the red needs to be a lot more vivid.
the Toronto lettering should be the same red in "night mode"

It seems like they're using a neon "Open" sign as inspiration, so I assume the night mode is in reference to that? I'm not sure what the connection is between an open sign and Toronto though.
If that is the case though, the color of 'Toronto' on the jerseys should be a lot more neon and vivid, but instead it just looks kind of muted and orange.

I think "night mode" is simultaneously a nod to the diverse Toronto night life and to the very dark blue that is used. I also read they are only wearing the new jerseys at night games, which is a nice tie-in.
I like it. Still blue but the dash of red is a nice touch for the national team. The colours work nicely together. I think they are overvaluing how "amazing" the skyline is, but I think it does look cool on the jersey with the light and dark blues.
