I am utterly ashamed to say that many of my American side of the family speaks like this. There are the odd exceptions but the majority are just insane. When Kerry was running, one uncle said he wouldn't vote for him because his wife wore pants. I might have crawled up one side of him and down the other as that was his sole and primary reason why he wouldn't vote for Kerry. Since Obama's been in office, I've had more than one set-to with cousins, over the vernacular they use to describe Obama. It usually ends with having to invoke their religious beliefs as to why the language they use is a bad bad thing. I've blocked more than a few of them.

It's absolutely infuriating to my cousin in Texas that I can still vote. He's livid that I'm casting a ballot lol. Like insane livid. He never misses a chance to tell me I shouldn't vote so I make sure to stay "sweet" in my responses and say I'm still voting. It tends to drive him even more mad.

Republicans need an enema. Obama's speech was exactly right, Trump was the logical conclusion to the way the Republican Party and conservative movement has been going for years. They enabled this. Now he'll tear it all down and hopefully the party can go through a healthy purge. As much as I loathe much of their politics, it's actually unhealthy for their democracy to have such a broken major party. The adults need to take over.

Yeah, it's a word. Has a bit of a history, as a matter of fact. You might want to look that history up, considering the circumstances.

In his defence there's not much point in releasing documents about his accusers in dribs and drabs as the individual accusations come out, might as well wait until all 60 or 70 women come forward and then deal with it in one job lot.

He clearly has a burr up his ass about Clinton for some reason and obviously wants a Trump victory. Yet from what I've seen so far in these emails, there's really nothing incriminating about any of it. It's all very boring and a complete non-story. You'd think if they had any kind of smoking gun, it would have been released weeks ago when Trump's poll numbers were actually decent. He's so far behind right now, and with very little time left, it would take something pretty massive to derail Clinton at this point. The whole thing just seems like Assange trying to get more attention and keep his name in the press to sell more books.
