Couple clips from the last few days. Managed to go flawless again last night, but my quest for the scarab emblem remains....

Man I wish I was better and enjoyed PvP more. Nothing much left in the game. Don't care about hitting 320. Started on my Warlock but don't want to grind him out. I guess I have to wait for an update.

I've only VERY recently been trying to goof around with snipers, with little success. Seeing your quick snipes makes me sad for my skill lol.
And yeah our group has pretty much stopped raiding, but there's actually quite a number of us still goofing around in PvP. Posted our best record in Trials last night at 7 wins. If you remember how horrible my one buddy and I were when you tried to carry us, Anduril, that's a stark improvement lol.

Sniping in Destiny is one of those learned things that you just need to keep practicing, and I certainly have a ways to go as well.
One of the biggest things for PVP sniping is making sure you have a low zoom scope, otherwise your depth perception is going to be all skewed when in the mid-long range engagements.
Another is learning when to go for the snipe vs. picking a primary battle based on range / angle / etc.
I found my success in trials increased exponentially once I started regularly hitting rez snipes. It really changes the momentum of a round if you can lock down an orb and allow your team to secure it.
Not sure if Anduril has anything to add, he's a pretty good sniper as well.

Inferno Clash was pretty fun last week too. Trying to go solo was stupid hard. But then I went in with a fireteam of 5 and wrecked face due to increased communication.

Maybe next time I'll actually get you to flawless. but actually, it's quite a lot tougher now with matchmaking the way it is so 7 wins means a lot more now.

I'm okay with sniping since picking it up in HoW. Biggest things have been just learning when to back off/not double peek and keeping my reticle at head level even before zooming in. The more of a habit it becomes, the easier majority of shots will be.
I've played a couple scrimmages and the skill/communication level difference is unbelievable. No amount of 1v1 skill matters when you're constantly being primed with grenades or facing a 2v1.

So IB this week is going to be rift - if I can't find a fireteam, no thank you. I also cut my thumb last week, so I was going to push through the pain for IB, and now I'm not so sure.
Disappointed with the update after the holidays. Might be putting this game down for a bit (didn't think I'd say that for a while, but here we are).

Things got pretty sweaty in this match. It was our game to go 9-0, and we were playing against 3 striker titans with Mida/Shotgun. Ended up losing unfortunately, but this was a fun sequence.

IB Rift... Slowly gouge my eyeballs out with a paper clip sounds more fun. That being said, I have to decide if I want to cash in the IB bounties I saved up now and play a few extra games to hit Rank 5, or just save them for the next round.
And yeah now that I got my Garrison from Xur engrams, I no longer have the urge to nightfall, raid or do Shaxx bounties. I still get up for Trials though haha. Must...make...lighthouse.

So IB rift is worth a try solo? Or is a fireteam required? My stitches on my thumb come out tomorrow, so wondering if its worth my while to give it a try

Like any IB game type, you will have more success with a fireteam. But it is absolutely doable if you get a good group of randoms.
If you are on xbox, happy to pull you onto our fireteam for some games this week.

Running with a team is definitely a lot more enjoyable when you're able to communicate and get a game plan going as opposed to hoping that your random teammates can hold their own and more. Definitely doesn't mean you'll win because you have a (bigger) fireteam though. The salt is a little hard to understand with this game mode to some degree, though given some of the complaints I've read it seen, it seems like there will be complaints about anything and everything.

Best part of that series aside from the generally unimpressive shotgun/Melee spree (my adrenaline was going though) is how often I got the Rescue Mag perk to proc. I came into that spawn with 10 rounds. By the time I walked out, I had 8 left. That's how you main a shotgun as a primary.
