Here's a random profile with close to 1 million sheet DPS.

I assume crits are a huge factor.

But where are you high dps guys farming, is torment 1 too low to get this kind of gear is that the issue, or just that I'm not farming enough?

There's no difference in what you get from T1 to T6, but drop rates do go up the higher the torment level (I can't find the blue post that details exactly what those are). Of course farming is slower too, so there's some balance somewhere.
I can do T1 pretty good with my Wizard now, I tried it last night with my WD with the pets-do-crits bug/feature and it took me like 1.5 hours to get one cache, which is horribly inefficient.

Yeah T1 is fine as everything drops T1 or higher. I can farm fairly easy on T2 but will often just farm T1 so I can blow through it.

I have found, and i think this was advice from Shawnski, that if you are exp grinding and can't one-hit-kill trash mobs, you are likely too high of difficulty for maximum efficiency.
I think the same holds true for farming, but I would give a bit more flexibility to that if I was trying to make the jump to T1.
My DH and Wizard can farm T1 really easily, but my DH is a bit more fragile. My wiz can do T2 without much risk of dying, but it is slow enough that I don't bother.
If I try with my WD or Barb (lvl 67) it is painfully slow, but both can survive.
Right now I am leveling my Barb and I seem to have found a sweet spot in Expert Adventure Mode. Nothing is a real challenge and even my damage impaired Barb can go through with relative ease. I suspect I will continue that with my monk and (eventually) my Crusader.
Kind of funny, I ended up killing Malthael with my Barb when he was only level 60, as a bounty. He was pretty tough, and I ended up killing him with a bleed after he finished me off. I tried again after I had leveled up to 66 and he wiped the floor with me. The difficulty scaling is very odd that way, I don't remember it being that bad pre-60.

I think I'm doing it wrong lol. I have 7 mil toughness on my WD, but then only 300k dps. My survivability is quite high on T1. But yeah it takes me like 45 mins - 1 hour to get a cache. Although I've gone full poison because of my 15% poison pants, so I guess my functional dps is still higher.

Yeah sheet DPS is very misleading in RoS, I watched a video with a wizard and he killed ghohm with 580k dps sheet and it took say 1min, he then changed to +arcane damage, +spell damage gear that put his sheet to about 280k and killed him 20 seconds faster.

No one's made a calculator? Should be able to link to a character sheet and calculate real DPS, at least in theory.

Finally got my Ring of Royal Grandeur. Wasn't the greatest roll so I might go for another but I'm dreading the idea of it.
Now though I got 3 'completed' sets with my current set up. Cain's, Captains Crimson's and Born's. From just set bonuses I get:
2000 life per second
Reduce cooldown of all skills by 10%
50 resistances to all elements
Reduce all resource costs by 10%
+15% life
Reduce cooldown of all skills by 10% (again)
Increase bonus experience by 20%
Attack speed increased by 8%
Increase bonus experience by 50%
50% better chance of finding magic item
I'm also one piece away from completing my Might of the Earth or whatever set that will make me leap and cause earthquakes all over the place that I'm really looking forward to.

Agh, seems Moonlight Ward was stealth nerfed, I was wondering why my Crusader was feeling a lot slower at the same difficulty. Mirrorball was too I guess.
I hate that.

Worst part about leveling a guy up is getting legendary drops that you want but not at the best level. I've got a Thunderfury and the weapon that has 100% crit on full health guys and both are worse than my yellow weapon because they're level 67 or 68.
Upcoming hotfixes:
Quote:
[UPCOMING HOTFIXES]
Please note that the following hotfixes are not yet implemented.
General
Kadala's Legendary drop rate has been increased.*
Unique Monsters now use the same loot table as Champions.*
The bonus Legendary drop rate for Nephalem Rifts has been increased from 25% to 100%*
The number of chests that spawn across Sanctuary has been reduced.*
The Unique Ebenezer Samuel no longer spawns 100% of the time on higher difficulties.*
The following change from the Patch Notes has been reverted:
In Campaign Mode, Manglemaw now only drops loot and gives XP before the player progresses to the Chancellor's Tomb quest*

Some other new info, looks like the WD changes so that pets do full crit damage is INTENDED.
Quote:
Wish granted.
This is indeed an intended change, and the amount of benefit provided to pets does not have a cap. Critical Hit Damage now scales for all pets, from Witch Doctors to Demon Hunters. This actually also includes stationary pets, such as Sentries and Hydras.
Apologies for the delay in communication on this one, but we always want to be sure the information we're providing is full and accurate, and it took me some time to check with all the appropriate folks that this was an actual change and not a bug. We'll be updating the patch notes to reflect this information as well.

Huh, might have to play with Hydra again on my Wizard, and that makes WD more fun!

Those hotfixes are live, I got a Triumvirate from Kadala! From 350k health to below 300k.
The question is do I use it. That's a pretty huge toughness hit to take.

Casting Fetish Army is like an explosion of murderers now. Mobs just melt away with Acid cloud + Mass Confusion + Fetish Army. Mobs fight among themselves while being poisoned to death and getting poked by little hellish minions lol.

something else haha

@photon I was in the same situation. Got Triumvirate from Kadala as well but it was a pretty big toughness decrease. Mine rolled 9% more arcane damage however so I figured that was significant enough for me to take that hit. I have been trying to re-roll one stat to disintegrate damage but its up to 1.3 mill per re-roll so I just stuck with Vitality which balanced out the toughness loss.

I would just like to mention that I got a rare drop the other day named Courier Font. Since we're in the tech forum, I figure that's worth a thread interruption.
