I'd love to have a new Enterprise series with 7 as the captain.

So as far as Enterprises go....can we at least all agree that the D is the best and that everyone wants the D?

If that were all it was- but instead it's a potential new enterprise series with 7 as captain, set on the darkest bridge of a renamed inconsequential to the fleet ship, and with Jack Picard as the new "solve everything" wiz and Raffi as the Worf.
You really want this?

Honestly? I would take a 7of9 series. But you've got to give her a better ship (with carpet!) and you have to send her somewhere cool to do exploring and such. Ya know...Starfleet things.
I'd even tolerate Raffi...she's kind of been a see-saw character for me, sometimes she's good and other times she's annoying as hell. Kind of a Yar/Worf type...that could be okay.
Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack, Jack.......needs to be jettisoned out of an airlock. And the name 'Jack' legally prohibited from use in the Federation.
And then whenever Spiner, Frakes, Burton or McFadden are hard up for a few bucks and need some work you throw 'em a cameo now and then.
The thing with Trek is...you could do so much with so little. If someone was really interested in just grifting the hell out of Trek fans there is so much material, so many actors and people would just eat it up!
You could literally do exactly what they did with TNG...send some second and third rate actors into space to do some relatively meaningless but interesting stuff and follow their adventures.
Slap a Star Trek logo on it and bam! Cheap, easy, interesting....money printed.

I really enjoyed the series, especially this last season. Yes, it had it's warts, but so did TNG at points as well. I'm all for nostalgia, and this tickled every bit of it for me. Love the send off at the end, truly felt like a final goodbye to a cast that I held so much regard for in my youth. So yes, the finale wasn't the greatest, but as a whole, this show really gave me closure i didn't think I needed after so many years

I enjoyed the first two seasons as an exercise in futility and BS. Thats just part of the deal when you're a Trek fan.
Those were ridiculous and awful.
And whats even funnier to me is that this Third season is all they should have been doing right from the beginning.
Its not brilliant, its not unique its not even creative. Its literally spoon-feeding the fans the gruel they've been demanding. How hard is that?
Stewart never even took his acting chops out of second gear and I'm relatively convinced that Frakes was drunk for about 95% of it. Its fine.
I'm highly critical, I always am but this was still better than 90% of the other crap they've fed us.
I have watched all of Star Trek Voyager and Enterprise and I still struggle to slog through Discovery.

For ships without seatbelts having the Captain's chair at the top of some rather perilous stairs seems like an ill-advised design decision.
Is the Captain's Chair situated directly under the steam vents and connected to the uninsulated power cords too?

I also like how the touchscreens are all powered by 150Mv directly off the warp core without any circuit breakers.

How did Beverly Crusher manage to raise the two most annoying characters in Trek history?

I don't get how she is "Captain 7". Shouldn't it be Captain of 9, or just Captain 9?

Same reason it's Commander Ro not Commander Laren. Not everything follows traditional earth naming structure. Not even everything on Earth.

I demand consistency in the future. They should have this figured out by now. I bet they still play soccer without properly tracking time, too.

In my line of work you learn a lot about the different naming nomenclature structures from various different cultures.
It is interesting, but confusing.
