From what I've been told, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of Minnesota picking up Evander Kane between now and Wed. #NHLTrade
Lavoie saying Coyotes testing the waters on Duclair:

Un autre nom à surveiller chez les Coyotes est Anthony Duclair. Les Coyotes tentent de voir ce qu'ils pourraient obtenir pour ses services.

Shane Doan clearly not happy about the Martin Hanzal trade & direction of team in an intermission interview with @FOXSPORTSAZ's @ToddWalsh.
I didn't see the interview, but how strange. What did Doan think was going to happen? This has been talked about for a long time. And the Coyotes came out of it doing pretty well.

With what Bishop went for, do you think Brad Trevling can get a good young starter for cheap? Go with Elliott and the young starter.
That would be ideal, but why would you assume the price of an aging UFA starter indicates to you that a good young starter could be had fir a palatable price if at all?

Maybe Shane wanted to go to Minny.

I think the problem with trading for a "good young starter" is the ones that are likely available would need to be protected in the expansion draft, or else will get claimed.
Meanwhile the ones that don't need to be protected in the draft due to their age/experience are likely unavailable, such as Saros. Why would Nashville trade him unless we paid a lot for him?

Maybe Shane shouldn't have wasted 20 years playing for a team that never seriously competed for a cup and was always about 15 minutes away from relocating.
The guy had multiple opportunities to move on as a free agent or via trade but chose to stay because he liked the weather and had some horses there.
What a waste of a career.

are some names Treiliving can go after for long-term solution.
This is the one that sticks out to me. Washington is in a tough place because Grubauer isn't exempt from the expansion draft and has been incredibly impressive this season. They're clearly going to protect Holtby, so do they want to risk losing Grubauer for nothing?
I have always been a big fan of Doan. It must be hard on a guy like that to be going out like this. He has given all he had to that franchise.
He is a guy I would target at the right price to come and play in our bottom 6, supply some size, grit, leadership and character on a playoff run. I would take him over Iginla at this point.
