That definitely looks like the dome to me. They're in for quite a cleanup there, wow.

Wow. There's a lot of stupid posts on CP but these just may take the cake. How long until puckluck attempts to argue the picture, somehow?

What's up with the hostility in here? Why are we calling people stupid? Pretty easy to forget about the red seats...

It's very eerie how dark the downtown skyline looked at midnight.

I even looked up an interior picture of the dome before I posted, which happened to be old apparently.

But seriously. How proud of our city are we? I'm honestly not someone who has ever been all "woo I love Calgary", but this is probably the first time in my life I can say I am seriously proud of it and the fantastic responses.

Just trying to nod off here, and I am on 57th Ave and about 5th street. I can hear the water roaring over the damn off in the distance. It is about 1.5 kilometres away as the crow flies.

Sounds spooky.

It looks like this picture was taken from row 10 (7 rows of seats in front, plus the bench replaces rows 1 & 2). Based on the flood photo, if you were sitting there right now, you would be dry but the feet of someone sitting in front of you would be wet, and the person in front of them would be sitting in water.

Not according to Alberta's website. Where are you getting that?

Rather, only at Bow River @ Calgary. Straight from Environment Alberta's readings.

http://www.environment.alberta.ca/ap...ionID=RBOWCALG

Am I reading this data incorrectly?

EDIT: This doesn't directly correlate to the amount of water in the city or the flooding; it simply would mean that less water is starting to come -through- the city.

Yes sir. As you can see it's more than standing water that's come over the banks. Everything up to and in parts past the crescent are one with the river and its raging current.

Those homes along there are definitely amongst the hardest hit in the city.
