The latest "building a hockey rink where there shouldn't be one" thing is pretty dumb. The mountain one was a neat location, this Toronto rooftop one was like 50 feet long, and the producers had to really shy away from showing play cause it was goofy with all the guys on the ice.
At one point they try to show a really fast scoring play and you can clearly see that he's just taken off from one end and the other team's guys are just kind of standing there while he's already taking a shot.
Is it just me, or have commercials become INCREASINGLY ANNOYING the last 6 months or so?
I used to change the channel/shut the radio off maybe once a day due to an annoying ad, but now it seems I am doing it 3-4 times in the span of an hour.
Car commercials have gotten the worst... Chevy...Ford...Hyundai...Volkswagen All make my skin crawl. Then we have radio ad's as well... Mr. T for gallery of fine cars... Volkswagons You, yes you! ad... UGH!
So glad I have a PVR at home so I can do without Mr. Creep Chevy Man... now if only I could invent a PVR for Radio...
Phoenix University, after serving up controversial 'McDegrees', is attempting a comeback with their 'if I had a brain' commercial. Seemingly catering to the lowest common denominator of human beings.
"Can't stand" is a little strong, but all those things people are bragging about getting to do in that Bud Light Living commercial sound awful.
You got put in a UFC ring and got a bottle kicked off your head? Taken to a foam party in the middle of nowhere? (Who over the age of 14 would want to go to a foam party?) Awkwardly lugged up on stage during some electro concert? What the hell kind of prizes are those?? I would easily pass on all that
Those sound like things only people in junior high or high school would consider cool. Or is the under age drinking crowd the demographic they're targeting?
