I usually like the uniqueness of voting on election day, but my wife is going to be away that day, so we are going to do it this afternoon. This way I can make sure she votes for the right person.

Pierre had some weasel word moments, that really stood out. The first was his comment about law abiding Canadians having nothing to fear(until the law changes). And then again when asked if he still plans to cut the CBC, when I punctuate it in my head it was this, "Yes. The CBC will continue ect." He said yes to cuts but then rushed into the next sentence like nobody was going to notice.
We got the same garbage from Danielle Smith during the provincial election specifically about the pensions plan.

Well, in reality, firearms owners that purchased their firearms legally, through change in the law (4 times since May 1st 2020) and no fault of their own, could now face prosecution for possession of a prohibited weapon. 5 years now, no compensation, no confiscations just millions of dollars wasted.

The cutting the CBC, is such a gamechanging stance for me. A strong public broadcaster, not beholden to private interest, is such a cornerstone of a working democracy. It makes it difficult to take PP seriously on any other subject.

Scott Galloway is pretty great. I listen to him with Kira Swisher on Pivot often and while his terrible humour is grating an times he really does have a good sense of things.
Happen to be out and about when the advanced polls open and there was already a line up. Happy to wait the 15 min to vote. All around Toronto at least the polling stations are all busy.

I thought that the worst implication he made, which kind of went under the radar, was when he started talking immigration in relation to crime and security. He quickly caught himself, but it was pretty telling to me.

He also had a conversation with Ian Bremmer, who is another acquaintance of Carney who admitted that his opinion would be biased. They discussed Carney for about 5 minutes although 2 and a half of it is talking about Carney and his dealings with Trump. His opinion is that he's a generational economic mind to lead Canada through the upcoming turbulence.

This is actually a problem, as well. The industrial carbon tax was put in by Harper (with an assist to Stelmach) as a way to protect the consumer from carrying the burden of any environmental initiatives. It still puts the quantitative measure of the tax in the hands of the producer (they can reduce it), but the tenants of capitalism mean that the cost can't be moved to the consumer.
Eliminating the industrial carbon tax pretty much ensures that at some point a consumer carbon tax would have to come back. In that situation industry would be scot free.
If you get rid of the industrial carbon tax, there is not an easy path to get it back.

2+ hour wait at the early voting poll in North Van. If it's like this everywhere this election is going to be an absolute blood bath.
Does the CPC even get 100 seats? They would lose every province outside of Alberta and Sask. I expect internal calls for PPs resignation to be put into mainstream before the polls close in Atlantic Canada.
