I think I've turned into that too. First time I've been single during Stampede in a while, it's a whole other scene that way. We've had a decent group to go out with, but I just can't keep up! I'm the youngest in the group too, embarrassing ha-ha.
I'm good for an isolated night or 2 out throughout Stampede, but I don't know how people well into their 30s & beyond do these multi-day Stampede benders. I'm just constantly bagged, which makes me less social than I normally am on a night out...I don't have that extra gear anymore it seems.

When it comes to these folks I find opening with “hey do you guys wanna talk politics?” usually gets the conversation ball rolling in the right(most fun?) direction.

So all the awkward people should stay home and not attempt to have fun? Gatekeep much?

Sainters we need to get you into a solid hybrid party training and homebody rehabilitation program. That extra gear isn’t gone, it’s just dormant.

The sent me a ticket showing my Exit at 4:35 PM and a ticket for "Remaining in a space longer than Time purchased". Incredible.
So, I guess I should start and end the session while driving into and out of the parkade? OR pull over in the middle of downtown to do so?
There has to be someone at City Hall that looked at it and said "clearly he was driving to and from the parking stall.
7-14 Business days now to assess the appeal.

I think with the right reasoning in your appeal, you will be successful in getting the ticket cancelled.
Being in the vehicle for loading and unloading is a valid reason to appeal a ticket. I wonder if those parkades rely on images from cameras at the door from when you arrive/leave.
A few years ago, my dad got a ticket for non-payment for stopping momentarily to drop off my mom somewhere. The ticket was appealed and the parking authority accepted, stating something along the lines of, noticing that there was someone in the drivers seat of the vehicle in their recording. Thus they accepted it was loading/unloading vs an unpaid parking scenario.

Yeah, he’s actually saying all the awkward people should be locked in a dungeon and flogged. When he said it was awesome they were out there being weird he was clearly trying to lull them into a false sense of safety.

I get this. I went to Tiesto last week and I was doing perfectly fine the next day. But I also saw those that were struggling and also those that were going even harder that were right as rain the day after.
I don't think you're missing the extra gear. It's dormant as mentioned. I think it's more likely you're missing the motivation/raison d'être. When you're sore and tired, it's difficult to drag yourself to the gym/parties if you don't have a reason to be excited to do so. This especially if you've always been more of a sprinter than marathon runner.
Also, others also might be quietly rolling molly and whatever, so they're walking on clouds or power overwhelming. I don't do that stuff, so I'd feel like I got run over by a car instead. Easy to see in that scenario who might be more likely to want to run out to jump around and who wants a day at the spa instead.
Spa days are great. Workout, swimming pool, sauna, massage... ah. It's a great reset to the baseline. It's crazy how you can feel like you are strong enough to tackle basically anything... then kids demolish you literally without breaking a sweat in record time. Sometimes I actually wonder if 30 minutes with a rugby player is less strenuous to the body than 30 days with toddlers and young children.

Such terrible "attempting to be fun and getting loose" human beings, lol. We had so much fun tonight but literally started a game of who's in IT.

They probably feel lost / clenched when the party doesn’t open with a safety topic.

The way I read it was "stampede is awesome, despite the awkward white collar people there". Plus it was posted in GG thread, meaning their presence is a GG for him.
I also see it was at 12:40AM so he was probably in the sauce and I am bored of this GG now.

They do. They had photos of my vehicle going in and out. There is no indication that you need to pay “before entering or exiting” and frankly with no arm or machine at the entrance it’s unreasonable to expect people to have to exit the parkade before stopping the parking session on the app. I wonder how many of these tickets go out and need to be reversed.

Agreed, I actually tried that yesterday morning by hitting my gym recovery area (sauna, massage area, etc) to shake it off ha-ha. But I was too bagged and napped all afternoon while they went out. When I saw their pictures later and heard their stories, I was sad I missed it. I need to push through, dammit! Even if it ends me...man I'm a teetotaler now it seems.
Supposed to be going to the Badlands tent tonight, I'm praying to the Stampede gods of mirth and mayhem to send me the energy I need for tonight's quest.
EDIT: And good points DoubleF as well, thanks

I know Calgary Parking Authority used to give a 10 min grace period for street parking (not sure about parkades), and maybe it has changed now.

The company I used to work at also added land acknowledgement on top of safety moments for meetings, which took away like 10 minutes off the clock
