It is just stunning to me how the Coilers seem to be able to 'turn off' teams. It's like teams just decide to completely stop playing. It's baffling. Vanc didn't bother to play Games 6 and 7. Stars haven't shown up since halfway through the first period of the last game. Ridiculous.

I think what both series in the East and West are showing is that it's great to have depth, but you do really need a stud #1 C to truly be a Cup threat, and those are usually only available at the top of the draft.

This doesn't make it back to Dallas IMO. Feels like Dallas storms back and finishes in 6 or they don't score another goal this series.

I legitimately think teams are thrown by how the Oilers are officiated. Completely changes your approach and attack.

Each team the Oilers play make their defence seem like the 1977 Montreal Canadiens backend. It is incredible actually how they just completely shut down teams.
