Totally forgot to mention today is the 15th anniversary of the greatest tennis match ever played, when Nadal defeated Federer for the Wimbledon title 9-7 in the 5th. No match will ever compare to this match, the build up was insane and the level they played can never be matched. The two most popular players of all time playing in their prime going at it in the most famous tennis tournament. Nadal was just 22 years old and Federer 26. For comparison that would be like if Felix was playing Zverev.

Bianca was up 6-2 4-2 and has lost five games in a row. Now trailing for the first time in the match. Mind-boggling drop in form.

Edit: Halts the run at 5 games. Let's go Bianca!!

Bianca breaks to get back on serve at 4-5 in set 3.

Edit: Holds and we play on at 5-5 in set 3.

woot!! Bianca wins 10-7 in the match tie-break. A nice win and always great to see positive tennis prevail in the end.

this is also the anniversary of me reminding you that this is actually the worst tennis match of all time lol

actually, nah. at least it finished the right way, without the stupid servebot-induced 5th set tiebreaker that 2019 fell into. I wonder how this 2008 match would have played out without the rain delays.

As luck would have it, the conclusion of the Andy - Oikos match conflicts with the Shapo - Broady match that just started.

Edit: Shapo breaks to start the match.

Edit 2: Broady breaks straight back.

It's also the 20th anniversary of Federer's first Wimbledon title, so not a totally bad day for you

I think the rain delays added to the aura of the match, and with all Slams now having a roof it's a special wrinkle that we can't ever get again.

Broady wins the opening set 6-4 over Denis. I just checked the stats, 5 double faults for Denis in the opening set

Meanwhile, Denis is up a break in set 2. He was also up a break in the opening set however.

Oikos breaks Andy for the first time in the match and is serving at 2-1 in set 5.

Can Oikos serve it out at 5-4 in set 5 versus one of the best returners ever?

No doubt. Great effort from Andy, but credit to Stef, he buckled down and played some great tennis.
