6-2 6-2 6-2 for Rafa in 2 hours and 2 minutes. Moutet just eliminated Stan thus it will be Rafa vs. Moutet in round 2.

Upset alert as 17 year old Linda Noskova takes the opening set 7-6 over Emma Raducanu.
Edit: Noskova breaks early in set 2. Emma is playing quite well, but Noskova is just bossing her with strong groundies. You can tell she is quite comfortable on the dirt.
Edit 2: Emma breaks right back.

This is crazy good tennis from Noskova at the moment. She's doing to Emma what Emma did to everyone at the US Open last year.

Emma breaks to take set 2 7-5 and we need a 3rd set to decide a winner. Terrific match between these two ladies.
/Noskova has hit 44 winners in the first two sets

Looks like Noskova has hit the wall as Emma is up 4-1 in set 3.
Edit: Emma takes it 6-1 in set 3. Very impressive from the young 17 year old from the Czech Republic, she won the junior French Open title last year.

With his win today, Nadal now has the most wins at a single grand slam by an ATP player with 106, passing Federer 105 wins at Wimbledon.

Talent is there but the head isn't. Coaching can't fix everything but he needs help with the mental aspects of the game as his consistency isn't where it needs to be.

Rune vs. Alcaraz could replace the Djoker vs. Nadal clay tussle once those two greybeards decide to hang up the racquets.

Molcan is up 2 sets on Coria with the winner playing Djokovic. You might think okay who cares but Molcans coach is none other than former Djokovic coach Marian Vida.

There seems to be a common theme amongst most of the young guys who are making their mark on the ATP tour these days and that is that they spent a lot of their developmental years on the clay. They are planning to put in several clay courts at the new Western Canada Tennis Centre in Burnaby which bodes well for the next crop of Canadian tennis players.

With Shapos semi final points at Wimbledon coming off does anyone know what his ranking will be? I'm thinking it's going to be ugly

Yeah, he's going to take a significant hit. I don't understand why they just didn't freeze the rankings points for the Russian and Belarussian players and just leave it at that. Of course, the best answer is just let everybody play Wimbledon, these players are independent contractors, they don't represent Russia or Belarus. If you want to remove those countries from Davis Cup or the BJK Cup, that's different as they are indeed representing their respective countries at those events,

That's right, GS. It's essentially an exhibition this year. Well, that's not quite right, it's still the most coveted trophy in tennis.
