Man Necas would be an unreal add, even better than when we landed Lindy from Carolina, especially if it was for a Markstrom trade

I think people have thought that there was more upside to Hanifin's game in the past, and it feels like we've been seeing that all season. But last night really felt like the confirmation that he is that guy.

Agreed.

I wish Hanifin was utilized on the PP more often during the Gaudreau/Tkachuk years, he’s a fantastic skater and puck distributor, has been way better at QBing a PP than Andy has shown.

He should traded for the best possible return. Or we get nothing.

Necas is overrated by others. Carolina has been frustrated with him all year due to his horrible defensive awareness and efforts. He’s lost them games. (Source: just from reading the Canes forums).

Maybe if hanafin is included on a sign and trade, but not for an inconsistent goaltender who is turning 35

We are seeing his prime now. I am still on the throw the wallet at him and trade Anderson train. Hanifin is better now, will age better long term, and i think that teams will throw the bank at Anderson but their seems to be a stigma about Hanifin out there.

If the contract hasn't been revisited, I'd offer him 8.25.
That's a significant deal that would blow other's offers out of the water. Not that it's all about money, but I'd shoot my shot if I were Conroy. If he comes back at 8.5 I probably sign it as well.

Agreed. I’ve been on that wagon since this off-season. With Hanifin gone, I’m still on the trade Rasmus wagon for a haul. However, if we resign him, I would not give him what was offered to Hanifin - mainly due to age. I don’t suspect that Rasmus would age as gracefully either.
Connie - a trade would be awesome today…..

Reading fan forums is a terrible way to draw such a conclusion about a player
Necas would be a tremendous add

Its speculated that the player has told the Flames, shortly after the all-star break that his decision is to leave. (as per Fan60).
Flames need to respect that and move on

While i agree it seems to point that way i hope when conny is looking at deals he knows we are trading a numero uno d man. Pretty confident but i think Hanifin is that good were just seeing him peak.

Pretty sure its an 8 team no trade list so there are 23 teams he can go to. We should be ok.
Plus if its a contender im sure he will waive.

Apparently Ottowa is open to trading Brady Tkachuk. Cost will probably be absolutely insane tho!

It would leave the defence decimated ( trading Anderson as well)but i suppose it depends on return? That player that contract im looking first, second, A prospect middle six to middle pairing roster player ( lines of mangiapane or so player side) not much less and if you want retention two firsts.

Didn’t Conny say in an interview that he wasn’t doing a major deal with the Greasers? Something to the effect of … can you imagine if I traded x to our biggest rival and it helped them to win the Cup…?
Do NOT want anyone from that cesspool of pathos.
