That is why people like us will both never get rich on a spur of the moment stock play and simultaneously why we will never end up bankrupt because of one.

I've been pondering this a bit myself the last while, wondering if I need to up my risk level a bit. I have investments and I have speculation plays, but I'm never willing to put a ton into the latter. You see these massive sums people put in, and I feel like such a boring turtle in comparison....chipping away at small but consistent gains... a few hundred here, a couple thousand there. But pushing all your chips in on one stock? Man, I just don't have the balls for that. Maybe if it was in my 20s and didn't have the entire family's finances on my shoulders...but even then, I wasn't quite that bold.

SCR hit my sell level today for the next 25% of what I held. Still have the final 25% left. It’s been great to me as I bought early in the spring. It’s probably been my biggest success in the past year vs far too many dogs but it’s nice to hit one...just wish I had another zero on the end of the amount of stock I bought but will take what I can get.
Now to take what I cashed out and buy cheap gme shares.

The only conditions under which I would be willing to put a 'massive sum' into something like that is if it wasn't a massive sum to me. This is confusing, I know. But if I was in a position where a couple hundred thousand dollars to future theoretical me was the equivalent of a few thousand dollars to me now, then I'd do it. But that's not really upping my risk, it's just changing the context of the risk being taken.

Bought for fun, in my play money account. Probably should have unloaded at the top, but I wanted to be in on the ride.

Keep holding CLOV. Chamath has been decent on his SPAC picks and I think this one will work out too.

What a week!!!
A couple weeks ago I sold half my SCR and then bought it back when it dipped...not sure it dips like that again I think it can keep going here. Gonna hold it all.
Also my NCLH finally rebounding that gets close back to $28 I’ll likely sell and try to buy back lower.
PLTH.CN continues to perform. It’s running again and should spoke to all time high soon on strength of US weed market. Mushroom stocks doing well again MMED and NUMI. I don’t own anymore stock but have a ton of warrants in both.

Commodities especially seems to be rocking right now. I really wish I put in some more into some of these Canadian Juniors like ATH...I was trying to be responsible, and it basically doubled on me in a week.
I hope everyone has at least a little bit invested into Uranium, as that seems like it's started it's fresh descent upward...the last bull-market was pretty nuts.

I'm noting a huge uptick in the speculative stocks I'm following this AM (e.g. HIVE, BUS, LI, QBTC, SCR, ATE) with the more well-established ones only showing minor gains.
I suspect some of the gambling money from GME is coming home to roost, or maybe people are just feeling particularly bullish this morning for reasons unknown.

What's up with the Canadian cannabis junior companies pushing up lately? I get the hype with Sundial because of all the reddit stuff but other companies like HITI, GTEC etc have all been pushing up dramatically with a ton of volume. Sure, US legalization is on the horizon but there are much more established players in the US medical market that can convert to full rec much easier. Plus I can't see Biden and various state governments giving licences to Canadian companies over US companies if they are trying to "Buy American".

No idea what is going on but I sure do like it and hope it lasts forever. The market is reacting very similar to pre Christmas when it was all up all the time.
A bit of a pull back two weeks ago but all up since then, quite remarkable.
