The conspiracy theorist in me thinks the bookies got to Andrus. He gave the 8th inning away all by himself.
Watch the errors though. They're so close. The last one where it hits the bottom of the palm and its a fraction of an inch from being a catch and an out
Just watched the entire 7th. Amazing. I've never seen
- Such a flukey play in such a big monet as Martin hitting that bat
- A series of consecutive bad luck/errors immediately following.
It was like the baseball gods were going to do whatever they could to erase the Martin play
I would say the Jays were lucky but how can you say that when the only reason they were behind was because of one of the most unlucky plays in baseball history?

I just watched the 30 minute condensed game because I missed the first 6 innings.
On the Martin-Choo play they showed a ton of replays from every angle. The correct call was definitely made. Martin threw directly at Choo's bat. His bat was still in the batter's box. Unlucky and stupid play by Martin that luckily didn't cost them the game.
I'm still reading recaps on this game, I think because I'm looking for something that captures my feelings, and all of the 'like nothing I've ever seen before in all my years' summations somehow fail to capture how surreal this actually was.
It's funny because it reminds me of the Blue Jays first two innings in game two, just couldn't make a play.
Favor was just returned in a bigger moment, in what is easily the craziest inning of baseball I've ever seen (maybe ever in general).
I'm not sure there is any way for an article to explain that inning, you need to watch it. The type of game that books get written about, at the very least an ESPN 30 for 30.

I don't get baseball the champagne and parents in the locker room to celebrate a playoff victory.
Awesome win though, 2 more series to go.
They just got back from an 0-2 hole to win the series...I think they deserved every bit of that celebration. The thing with baseball is, the more relaxed a team is going into a series, the better brand of baseball the team usually displays. Hence, the champagne parties.

As a sports fan I would like more "110%" "they played us hard, we got lucky and need to be better next game". "This is only one step towards our goal". "It feels good but it is back to bussiness."
Honestly, it is refreshing as a lifelong hockey fan to see the emotion.
What a game. Can't add much other than that. Wish I had a chance to enjoy it with you all but it didn't work out that way. Now to take out the garbage Royals.
