I think it's more than likely that a lot of crap has been said in the handshake line. As much as it's cowardly to say something bad after a long hard fought series, I think it's equally as cowardly to go and whine to the media and throw other players under the bus.

If that is actually what he said, then I guess that's fair enough. But I wouldn't put it past Weise to do the same thing for a much lesser offense. I'm sure the words "I'm gonna kill you" have been said on the ice thousands of times

He didn't throw him under the bus. Everyone saw Lucic saying something and creating tension. The reporter asked Weise what was said, and Weise said he didn't want to say, but only that it was classless.

I'm of the opinion that the handshake is an example of what makes hockey great. If you are pissed off then just skate along and shake hands without saying a word. Don't disrespect the game and the tradition by being an idiot.

Good point. But I still would have preferred if Weise had said nothing. Saying "oh I'm not gonna tell you what he said, but it was bad" sparks as much tension as what was seen on camera

Someone said early in this thread that if there's a team that can beat Boston, it's Montreal. I thought that was right on the money. Kinda feel sorry for Iginla but it was about time the big bad Bruins are taught a lesson. An ex-Flame friend of mine told me that what Therrien did to the team is nothing short of amazing.

We all want players to dislike each other. Who cares who's more classless. It will make the games they play against each other more fun.

We should all just enjoy the fact that a guy the Canucks traded away for defenseman they have for about 5 minutes is playing a key role in the playoffs.

Oh boy, at least we know how TSN is going to occupy their time when they aren't broadcasting hockey next year. Lucic is an idiot, no doubt, but I'm sure that type of stuff is said all the time during games.
