Wait - Dick Hoyt was a first responder? What? I wondered if he and his son were running that marathon and googled, and it was reported that they were a couple of miles from the finish line when the explosions happened and everyone was fine/safe. Which would make it very odd that he was on scene when things happened. That would have been a damn quick couple of miles run.... Trying to find that again.

The irony is the common conspiracy theorist is among the most close-minded people you will ever meet, hopelessly fixated on a single thought and endlessly explaining away anything that contradicts it. . . . . yet they consider themselves broad-minded and use their belief in the ridiculous as evidence.
It's why arguing with a conspiracy theorist is one of the greatest wastes of time ever invented. Nothing you say will ever divert them.
And if they believe in one conspiracy theory, they are likely to believe in others.

The statutory definition of “weapon of mass destruction” refers to “any destructive device as defined in section 921 of this title,” which in turn includes: a “rocket having a propellant charge of more than four ounces.”
Other weapons of mass destruction, legally speaking: Bombs. Grenades. Mines. Missiles “having an explosive or incendiary charge of more than one-quarter ounce.”
Found it on this site: http://www.salon.com/2013/04/22/weap...rge_explained/
Explains how suspect 2 was charged.

The brothers' could have gone up to each victim and shot them in the back of the heads on tape and still some would claim conspiracy. It's pretty sad that so many people are easily led astray, and are completely unwilling to accept anything government or law enforcement officials tell them. I'm not saying they're completely honest, and open 100% of the time, but in cases like this one how can you even claim conspiracy?
The brothers were murdering people, throwing IED's at cops, and getting into gunfights with the police in Watertown! Are people actually saying those were staged, and that hundreds of cops and others involved were all involved in the conspiracy? Give it a freaking rest you nutters. Not everything has to be more complicated than it really is. Or maybe it's all just a coincidence, and the brothers happened to be using the same pressure cooker bombs as these people who "planted" the bombs at the marathon. Cause you know that's entirely feasible.

That's not even an exaggeration. One of the conspiracy theories that Jahar's twitter friends have been posting is that they were hired actors to place backpacks as part of a bomb response drill, but that someone set them up by putting real bombs in the bags.

CNN is reporting that Jahar has said that the older brother planned the attack and that they were not affiliated with any other terror groups. I'm sure he'd say that no one else was involved whether or not that's true, but hopefully this at least shuts up the conspiracy theory morons.

the development over the weekend that they seized the daughters cellphones and computers is a fairly ominous development in terms of getting help from the outside.
I'm still shocked that the scumbag who left a daughter on this world was so willing to plant a bomb that killed someone elses kid.

What is kind of interesting is that both sons have names that are significant in Chechen's politcal and war history.
Tamerlane was a Turkic Islamic conqueror in the region during the 14th century and Dzhokar is also the first name of the former Chechen president that declared independence from Russia in 1991 and was killed during the war.
I think it's fair to question whether the parents and family are politically driven and raised their kids in such a fashion. Of course, it could just be a coincidence too.

What? The Bruins games have been getting an absolute ton of attention, even on ESPN where hockey rarely makes an appearance.
