I mean, the "join USA crowd" is probably committing treason. But if Alberta joined the USA and had 2/102 senators that would be nearly 2x the number of senators we'd deserve if you apportioned them by population.

By contrast in Canada we have about 1/2 the senators we'd deserve if you apportioned them by population.

Alberta being under-representated at the Federal level in both the commons and the senate is absolutely a legitimate issue.
