Sure, in the past we had Huff and others find gems. COVID shutdown that network and Huff is old now too.
Players and coaches are noamds in the CFL, and very money sensitive. Winning equals bonuses, and this is the first year in a long time Stamps didn't make the playoffs, again, QB struggles caught up to us.
The voices of said nomads who left are a little louder or given the stage to spout their displeasure, after the team they left doesn't make the playoffs.

Does CSEC spend to the cap? If they do, great, i just wasnt sure. Things like cheaping out on meals etc. sure makes them sound bad. Its also about time thy replaced that concrete turf thay have had for years. I want to renew my season tickets but might wait a while to see if they actually have learned and are actively trying to be better. I hope this is a wake up call.

I think they know. Sounds like they have a plan.
I’m sorry I’m not ready to pile on after 2 bad years in a 20 year span.
Look at those rosters and players we lost. We would be running the biggest cap violations in league history if we kept everyone.

I do find it interesting that we haven't heard any counterarguments from existing Stamps players defending the organization against these assertions.
Or at least I haven't anyways.

I think we need to wait and see how free agency goes for the Stamps, that to me is a true indicator of how players view the Stamps as an organization. I've stated it previously, but the introduction of the coaches cap really hurt the Stamps, they had a coaching staff that was the envy of the CFL and little-by-little, those coaches left for greener (in more ways than one) pastures and the Stamps haven't been able to find adequate coaching replacements.

We aren't doing crap all with Davey D- as our coach.

I feel like if the Stamps have a plan and go out aggressively and have learned a few things, there is no reason why they cant rebuild rather quickly. I hope to see it. They are getting a lot of heat from former players but this is a pretty good winning franchise that seemed to lose its way a bit. there will be lots of free agents out there

So basically the Argos. I wish CFL teams had to open their books, the CFL cap just feels inherently shady. I don't get how a Stamps team that spends to the cap had all those cap casualties, yet somehow Toronto (and even Winnipeg) avoids it after all these years.
Shenanigans I tell you!

McNeil was flat out asked if they will change their stance on free agency and he said yes.
We did sign Houston from Winnipeg last year.
Huff did most of his roster building via scouting and filling it out with some under utilized players. Look back that 2008 grey cup team. We signed a bunch of guys from Hamilton a team that was terrible. They played a key role in us winning.

They are obviously way over the cap.
If we did that and won we would get raked over the coals.
We might as well start tampering with potential free agents

Yeah, now all we need is some OL help to give VA time to throw the ball.

Much needed deal and a perfectly reasonable cost to acquire. Very excited to see how the rest of the offseason shakes out now. VA to Begelton will be a lethal connection.

VA and Lions receiver Justin McInnis had some excellent chemistry last season and McInnis is a free agent. If he doesn't re-sign with the Lions, maybe a reunion in Calgary?

Very excited to see a new QB who is highly regarded in the game. Will try to make it out to McMahon more often now.

Why not, similar-ish to 2005 when they signed Burris & Copeland and completely transformed the energy around the team. Chemistry certainly matters.
