That's pretty crazy as Ruud is no slam dunk on grass. If Shapo could get his serve rolling for a week or so, there's no telling how far he could go.

Love to see someone knock Novak out and actually make a mens major interesting again, I know a lot of people loved the era but am totally ready for a new page where there is some suspense over who will win a major for a change instead of which one out of Nadal, Fed or Novak is healthy/gonna take it and happy to see it sunsetting

They put Ruud on there like he sucks. He's #4, the head of that bracket. A 4th seed should make the semis.

Actually, Gaby Dabrowski makes it six as she's playing her opening round doubles match on Thursday.

I can't figure out if I'm dumb, if this graphic is extremely confusing or if the two preceding statements are mutually exclusive?

Shapo is up two sets to love and is currently in a 3rd set tie-break with Barrere. Bianca is up 4-love in the third set versus Bondar. Rebecca Marino lost in three sets to Begu.

Denis advances in straight sets over Gregoire Barrere and Bianca is one game away from advancing up 5-1 in set 3.
Edit: Bianca through to round 2 winning set 3 6-2. Very nice.

Djokovic versus Wawrinka in a round 3 clash. It's the matchup we should have got in 2015.

Leylah playing some fine tennis up a break in the first set at 3-5 (Garcia serving).
Edit: Leylah breaks to take the opening set 6-3 (won the last four games of that set).

Leylah still double-faulting way too much though - She held serve to start set 2, but she's putting way too much pressure on her service games.

Meanwhile, Liam Broady and Casper Ruud need a 5th set to determine a winner. Winner of that match faces Shapo in round 3.
Edit: Milos down two sets to love to Tommy Paul

Leylah and Garcia need a 3rd and deciding set. Leylah has a chance to pull off the upset, just needs to serve better.

Broady up a double break in the 5th set over Ruud. Could be huge for Denis if Broady can pull this off.

Broady bagels Ruud in set 5 to advance to round 3 and will indeed take on Denis.
