But they have spent since moving in to the stadium, the two windows before the pandemic, they spent 150m, and even last summer during the pandemic spent 70m
For sure. Could see a couple decent moves - sounds like Jochim Anderson (Fulham/Lyon) is close.

Maybe another shot at Skriniar? Considering Spurs were in on Ruben dias last year, it's frustrating to think how well he did with City this year.

Rumours are that AS Roma may try to poach a few Mourinho players - Lamela, Moura, PEH, and Dier. Some of those moves will help clear out some extra weight

They can have those guys, on the condition that they also take Winks and Sissoko.

Agreed.

Although, I absolutely love Hojbjerg though. Will be interesting to see with Skipp coming in.

Ya it sounds like Anderson is almost done, probably just waiting on final confirmation conte would want him

Conte did play a ton of 3-5-2 so I do think at least 2 starting level centerbacks are needed

I'd hope to keep PEH, but the other can go especially to raise funds

In news that isn't news, at Chelsea, Tuchel signs a new deal and so does Silva.

P.S. And, more surprisingly, Giroud as well.

Joel Glazer has directly spoken with United fans for the first time since the family's takeover 16 years ago.

https://twitter.com/user/status/1400829999876382727

let's see. Finally renovating the stadium and more fan involvement would be a good thing.

I think there are some bright spots there for fans, actually. When they say they won't pay off the debt and think that the dividends are fair, that probably doesn't assuage some major concerns though.

those were the points where it would have been naive to expect any concessions though. They'll never give up their dividends, and paying interest is a lot cheaper than paying off the debt. So for me, I'm not disappointed about those points, I expected as much. Some bright spots in other areas for sure, so cautiously optimistic. Now whether they actually follow through with this is another question.

What better way to try and convince your best player to stay then by totally botching your coaching search. All that's left is appointing Scott Parker to finish it off.

Paratici coming still is great news, a DoF is what's been needed for 2 decades

But if Conte talks really stalled or blew up over 3m in salary and Conte wanting to bring in a few extra assistants than levy had better have something up his sleeve for the manager job or a bunch of funds for the window

Ten hag or potter seems most likely now

Lol, Levy did a great job. Season ticket renewals were yesterday, and things looked good. People committed to the renewals, and suddenly things fall apart of 3m, lol.

It’s so sad, but ENIC obviously doesn’t care about winning. They’re fine building a big business to sell, and that’s really the primary goal. Hopefully all the xG people are right about Potter though.

The duping season ticket holders thinking is kinda odd. I mean in general you don't need to dupe the fans, they usually dupe themselves with FOMO thinking. Like my boss basically renews his Flames season tickets every year even though I generally only hear from him about how they aren't very good and it's expensive. And after hiring Sutter it wasn't like he was all gung ho based off that. But as with anything with limited supply and potential difficulty in re-acquisition you tend to err on the side of caution, which means sucking it up and renewing.

I'll say this, Paratici but no Conte is better for Spurs than vice versa. With Conte, it's always about winning now, and he would have demanded funds ... he'd have clashed with Levy sooner than later. And it's not ideal when your superstar is talking about leaving either. I don't think a guy like Conte is the right profile for the current situation at the club, where it kind of feels like rebuild. I think Spurs will be better off with Paratici and a compatible coach like Potter in order to build something long-term.

Sounds like Villa has beat out Arsenal for semi Buendia. Good start to the summer for Villa! Wonder how much him being with Emi Martinez down in Argentina right now had to do with his final decision?

Been a week since the seasons wrapped up. Two for the majority of clubs.

Given it's the Euros year, I'd have thought there would have been more business done by now.

Buendia is an expensive, but solid signing for Villa. Was really good for Norwich in the season they were relegated, and if they can keep Grealish that's a great looking attack. Could do a lot worse than Grealish - Watkins - Buendia.
