Looks like my 31-10 prediction will be wrong, this one ends up 38 or 45 to 10. Offence has to do something, and zero pressure all night.

Really impressed that Manning didn't get touched at all against the D. Very good game by Broncos tonight.

Score ended up closer than it should have been. Denver essentially started grinding the clock down in the 4th quarter. I hope the Chiefs can find an offensive playmaker or two in this coming draft.

Eagles and Cardinals flexed into the night game next Sunday, replacing the Giants/Skins game.
EDIT: Errr...December 1st. Eagles are on a bye next week.

Bad set of NFC games that week left that as the only choice, I'm surprised they still did it though, with the Giants and Red Skins both being big market teams. ESPN finally gets one right that week with the Saints in Seattle as the Monday Night game.

I didn't think it was that bad of an effort by the Chiefs. Playing on the road against the Super Bowl favorites. Which team in the NFL would have faired better?
People seem to forget that the Chiefs were 2-14 last season. No matter what happens this season, it has been a tremendous success. This time last year, half of Arrowhead was wearing black in mourning and the other half was empty. This season the Chiefs have become the first team in North American profesinal sports to go 8-0 (then 9-0) after finishing last the season before. The fans also broke the record for the loudest outdoor stadium in the world.
Besides, how often do the Chiefs go into Denver and win? It seems these two teams split the season series more often than not. Regardless of the how good or bad each team is doing.

The Bengals, Colts, Patriots, Saints, Seahawks, and 49ers (and Packers with Rodgers).

The Chiefs should feel pretty good about how they fared last night. The offense is problematic but they still pretty much shut Denver down (as much as you can this year) without any pass rush whatsoever. I expect they'll get more heat in the rematch and find a way to not leave Cooper so isolated on the island next time. He got lit up badly but otherwise the Chiefs did as good a job as can be expected. Still the offense needs to cash in with more sustained scoring drives. Alex Smith might not be the best QB in the league, but really he has poor passing options. Outside Dwayne Bowe there's really only Charles and McCluster who concern you even slightly. Chiefs need to upgrade receivers and find a TE.
The big key for the Chiefs and all AFC teams of course is playoff Peyton is a different QB than regular season Peyton. Playoff Peyton is prone to melting down at the worst times. The Chiefs and really the entire AFC can beat the Broncos in the playoffs if playoff Peyton shows up.

Nope. NFL annouced today its not being flexed. Maybe if it weren't Arizona, but the NFL is still about TV and sad as it is New York versus Washington will outdraw Philly-Arizona even as the latter is a much more meaningful game.

Ya I was half wondering if the Chiefs were gonna get thumped, I was impressed with how well they played the Broncos in Denver actually (minus their ability to get to Manning), the rematch in KC in 2 weeks should be a fun game to watch.
And thank jebus for the Saints getting a W to help salvage an otherwise disastrous sports weekend for me. Seemed like every time I flipped back & forth between the 2 games, it was either the Saints fumbling or the Stamps fumbling. That was an infuriating 3 hours, at least one of em had a happy ending.

The sad thing is, with the state of the NFC East, New York will still be in contention for the division title by that point.

The Bengals??
I would only say the Seahawks and Saints of that list would be a consensus. Maybe include the Colts because they beat Denver earlier this year, although they look very pedestrian right now.

I don't think Andy Reid believed he could win last night either. He seemed satisfied to keep it close. For example, not going for it on 4th and goal at the one and not onside-kicking down 10 with 4 minutes to go.
