This might be a little off-topic but has there been any news on proposed renovations to McMahon stadium? Specifically pertaining to the concourse?
After the mayhem that occurred there during the Heritage Classic, I hope something will be done in the near future (e.g. new washrooms, expand the concourse)

I doubt it. It would require provincial funding and that just isn't going to happen until the economy improves and the province is no longer in the red.
Look around the league for comparable situations. Winterpeg is getting a new stadium but it has been plagued with mismanagement and spending overruns. So much so the provincial gov had to step in.
Ivor Wynn is being refurbished and the Riders may get a new stadium with no federal funding (only prov and local) but that is doubtful.
And compared to Ivor Wynn and Taylor Field, McMahon is a state of the art facility.
This is all my opinion of course.

Tough to justify sinking any money in when the facility is used by anything more than 5000 people, an average of 10-12 days per year...mostly football games with the odd other event once or twice a year that pushes attendance a bit higher.
Half the problem with the HC and the gridlock were the cluelessness of many who'd never been to McMahon, or had never been there when its been 30K+, as well as the cold weather, to a point.
People wandering around aimlessly were all around...slowing up the concourse. People not knowing where things were, not sure where lines started, not knowing where alternate bathrooms were etc etc really jammed things up. Go to a 35K attendance Stamp games and things move a lot quicker with many regulars knowing where they're going, even those cold games.
The cold weather and those out of their usual element meant 2x as many people lining up for food (personally, don't know why,I ate just before going there and that held me the 3-4h until the game was over) which meant the lines were longer which jammed up the way to the bathrooms and everything else.

Yea the seven thousand or so extra fans on the far endzone really added to the gridlock of the concourse. I remember leaving with three minutes left in the second period and just making it back in time for Metric's last song.
Still, regardless of the concourse, I find McMahon a great venue to watch a sporting event

Glad to see Myddelton extended, he showed good promise last year.
Might even grab a starting spot if Comisky doesn't return/gets hurt.
Harrison-Comiskey-O'Neill-Tsoumpas-Bryant
With Gott, Myddelton, Carlson and the draftees from last year Deane and Bender might make it up here sometime during the season our O-Line is set for awhile.

Im planning to buy season tickets this year for the Stampders. (Two seats)
Im debating which ones to get.
I dont really have the money to buy the expensive ones..Im debating between White and Silver...and perhaps Blue..but im thinking about White and Silver the most..any tips on which ones to go for, etc.

if you get white or silver, get some sort of seat/pad thing to sit on for games in the fall. McMahon has great sightlines basically anywhere you site (aside from bottom of the corners). the seats above the reds (rows 45-70) are cheaper and have a great view of the game. blues are pretty good too, I am looking at getting 2 blues

Was just looking at the renovations done at BC Place. Looks pretty slick. The roof will be a welcomed addition to a facility that previously looked dull and concrete. Maybe this new renovation will add a little liveliness to the building.

Looks good, although I still think it was quite stupid that they did not plan this better to get it done before the Olympics last year.

I wish. The first think I would do is build up the Red and white all the way to the back of the end zone, maybe put a plaza and club seats up there and you'd have a ton of concoruse space without expanding out. Then inside the club you'd actually have an attractive venue because you aren't a mile from the field.
I'd then build up the clubhouse side, higher and closer to the field.
The largest problem with most CFL stadiums, McMahon included is that the atmosphere is awful because its all open space. It's makes the stadium quiet, hallow, the sound is poor and the energy dissipates.

It is a nice looking line with good depth provided Comi is still serviceable. It will be tough for Ed to live up to Archie's standard, but he comes from a big college program and has a lot of promise. Hopefully, he returns to form and ascends to allstar status.
The Timmy, Soup, Myddleton and Harrison foundation is a enviable looking unit. They are all relatively young. Kudos to Huff for the effort he invests into acquiring depth at key positions.

Only whites are available as far as I know. Which is why I got rid of mine last year. Sure it's cheap, but the value is not there at all. CFL football is probably my second favorite sport to watch behind the NHL, but the view from the corners at McMahon are not worth my money. Now if they offered me red seats I'd pay 3-4x the money and actually look forward to going to the games. Too many rider fans in the corners as well.
