In my younger days, before buying t-shirts with funny slogans from the internet was popular (and now that everyone does it, I don't wear them anymore...), I had this Che shirt:

I am also gaining a lot of resentment towards people on this board that keep spewing crap about

"Oh you must be a Sarah Palin and Fox news crap because your annoyed by certain people"

Or "You must be a Ronald Regan person because you are annoyed by Che"

You want to know why I am annoyed by the hero worship of Che. Because at the end of the day he was just as morally corrupt as Mao, and Stalin and Kim, he was just only able to execute his vision in a smaller setting.

“To send men to the firing squad, judicial proof is unnecessary,”

“These procedures are an archaic bourgeois detail. This is a revolution! And a revolutionary must become a cold killing machine motivated by pure hate. We must create the pedagogy of the paredon (The Wall)!”

If Castro was representative of Cuba's Stalin or Hitler, then Che was representative as Beria or Himmler.

In the end though he didn't have the guts to fight to the end he begged for his life.

Can I recommend a name with the pictures. There are quite a few people in here that I do not know but if I had a name I might know them.

Interesting. The accounts I'm familiar with having him fighting to the end, injured, and finally being very accepting of his execution. In any case, I hardly think the single act of begging for one's life warrants any part of an inclusion on this list. I expect 'lived and died by the sword' was an expression brought about by exactly the type of individual as Che. His politics and methods are another story, granted. But with regards to the act of begging for his life, I expect you would as well, if you hadn't already soiled yourself and passed out.

Yeah, probably not, Che was incredibly brave when his enemies were tied up to a wall and he was holding a .45 calibre pistol. He was a bully, a dirt bag and a hypocritical psycho.

He doomed Cuban's to generation of poverty, sorry those that he didn't consider to be his political enemies.

He's one of those people that when he's buried he should be nailed to the bottom of his coffin so there's no chance of him coming back.

Like I said, I class him with Himmler, Beria, any number of Mao's axemen.

According to the documents about his death, he did not beg for his life. He asked to remain standing and only said "Know this now, you are killing a man."

It's all here:

http://www.gwu.edu/~nsarchiv/NSAEBB/NSAEBB5/index.html

Che was a revolutionary, evil in the same way war is evil. We've seen the same type of people in revolutions throughout history. He has as much blood on his hands as anyone else who sought power in the 20th century. Obviously, he shouldn't be a symbol of anything right or just about the world but he's not more of a monster than the people he was fighting.

What's with all this Che stuff?

I was assuming this thread would be devoted to Ashton Kutcher and Pauly Shore.

I was just thinking it was me that was sad that I didn't know who all these annoying 'famous' people are. Mind you, I don't even know who some of them are even when their name IS attached. So can they just be annoying even if they aren't famous?
