I honestly don't think we can use injuries as an excuse, as every team has them.
The only huge injuries that plague Arsenal at the momeny are van Persie(shocking I know) and Bendtner, unless I'm missing someone. But we have more than enough depth up front to make up for that.
What is plaguing Arsenal is their defending/keeper. Vermaelen is a beast, Koscienly has played very well the past few games after a rough few games to start and Squillaci has played well since his arrival. So I'm hoping that aspect of their game improves with time.
Diaby (no bother to me), Walcott, Vermaelen, Ramsey. I heard Vermaelen is healed up, did he play against Sunderland? I didn't get the game.

Ramsay I've written off for this year really, no need to rush the young kid back from that vicious injury. Totally blanked on Walcott, remembered during the course of the day that he was out. Vermaelen didn't play on Saturday, but he is apparently all healed up. And of course, Diaby, well that might be a blessing in disguise.
Blackpool stuffed...but not by Chelsea's pricey post-match lasagna
Blackpool balked at paying Chelsea £15.50 per head plus VAT to provide post-match lasagna yesterday... Fast forward four years and the decision of penny-wise Blackpool to opt to bring in their own supplies to refuel their players suggested there would be little spice to follow.
The newly-promoted club which asks its players to wash their own training kit and stayed in a “reasonably-priced budget hotel” in Twickenham was simply out-classed by Roman Abramovich’s millionaires. It was not a great advert for the self-proclaimed most competitive league in the world.

Yeah? So? Its like an English National Team tradition. You're not a real member of the team until you snort a line of blow off a hookers ass.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
While the allegations may be true, this has more to do with the the antagonistic nature of British media and the cultural obsession with the cult of celebrity.
Haven't seen the game yet but great result for Sunderland today 2-2 at Anfield! If we can keep up these results against the "big" sides a top half finish shouldn't be out of the question, just have to keep up the performances against the lower teams. 2 more goals for Benty too, love seeing that!
I didn't see the highlights until I was flipping around the channels this morning, but that first goal by Liverpool yesterday was one of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen

Atwell should be fired
Quote:
Stuart Attwell has won the support of the body that governs referees following the awarding of a controversial goal in Liverpool's 2-2 draw with Sunderland on Saturday.
The statement read: "PGMO has reviewed the first goal scored between Liverpool and Sunderland and believe that the correct decisions were made.
"The ball is then in play when it is kicked and moves. So, in this case, the ball was in play as soon as it is kicked by a Sunderland player. Also, the Laws state that the free kick must be taken from the place where the infringement occurred. Again, in this case, the referee correctly determined that the free kick was played from the right place."
Good goal, unconventional but I'll take it. The real question is: What the hell was Turner thinking? I mean, thats a restart, he stopped the ball and passed it back to his keeper, just really, really poorly.

but Atwell wasn't even looking when Turner kicked it, match of the day did a close up him running and looking the other way, and everyone knew what Turner was doing

This is true, he didnt know what he was doing, he consulted the assistant, he should have made the call more decisively. He is not a great ref.
