As I mentioned in the prospects forum, I really liked how Savage let Mitch Wahl on the ice via an illegal line change right before the tying goal. Figures that their cheating would pay off so well.

Tough loss for the Hitmen tonight. They only played a so-so game but controlled the game for the most part. Broda tied it up with just seconds left in the game only to have the Raiders win it early in OT. That is a 3 game losing streak now for the Hitmen.

A wild one in Kamloops tonight, caught most of it on Shaw. Kootenay scored 5 times in the third after being down 4-zap. Shattock scores for Kamloops with a dozen seconds left to tie, and then the Ice win it in the shootout.

Good thing Kurtis Mucha's used to seeing a lot of rubber...

The Hitmen have traded defenceman Eric Bonsor to Seattle this afternoon.

Kinda surprised, but kinda not. He was steady, but prone to some pretty impressive mistakes at times.

Ugly, ugly game up in PG tonight. The Hitmen didn't work real hard but have more skill than PG and that skill came through in a 6-5 Hitmen win.

Missed both games of this year's Lower Mainland visit by the Ice, but they're 4-0 through BC so far with only PG left. 6-2 last night over the Giants.

Taking in my last two Giants games of the year probably this weekend against the Hitmen and Oil Kings.

The Giants-Hitmen game tomorrow should be an entertaining game.

Giants have not played well at home lately. Lost by 4 or more goals 3 of their past 4 home games (with a win over Portland mixed in). Add that to the fact that the Hitmen have put up back-to-back shutouts here in their past two visits means they are definitely the favorites.

Haven't seen them yet this season though, I'm interested to see how they look.

You're probably getting them at the right time. Williamson hasn't found that magic tonic Lowry had last year that caused the Hitmen to somehow never take a game off. There have been a lot of questionable efforts lately, and some pretty significant mental breakdowns.

Basically, it sounds like the Hitmen could dominate, it could be a close, well played game, or the Giants could dominate.

Hitmen wins but it was closer than it should've been. That was almost in at the end. Shouldn't have been that close after a 3 goal lead.

Got my invoice for the 2012 world juniors...$1049.95 per seat in the lower bowl, and that is $200 (+taxes) less than the general public will pay! 21 games though, including all playoff games except the two quarter finals played in Edmonton.

Hurricanes threw in the towel on the season today as they sent Ashton and Orfino to the Pats for Hood and Balog and picks.

Another Terrible move by Preston.

It is like the Canes are trying to get fans to quit supporting this team with the moronic moves they continually make.

And I would guess its only a matter of time before he deals Sbisa, I am hopeful that the Hitmen lands Sbisa but I know its highly unlikely.

Would be nice, but probably not, lol.

Incidentally, Michael Stone was signed by the Coyotes today.

Is there any chance Brandon potentially gets involved for Sbisa to load up for the Memorial Cup? They are real young on the back end and could use a guy like him.

I don't follow the WHL super closely so I don't know how likely this is, can anyone more "in the know" help me out?

thx

It's definitely possible. The Wheat Kings will be going hard for it this year.
