At signing Francis stated that he would make his NHL debut this season, burning that first year.
TBD on when that will be though.

Yes, the plan is to give him at least a NHL game. Likely during the next homestand.

No possibility of AHL this season. He's reporting right to NHL and first year of ELC burns.

Between Gross and Costagna, could one of them end up being a Joel Otto type here? It sure seems possible. That would be amazing. Otto was one of my favourite players. And no, I’m not getting ahead of things. I understand there’s a long way to go for these guys to get to that level of player.

I dont see why not?
Both players already have a number of nhl translatable tools. Both have size, both have skating, both play a 200 foot game. To add to that both are face off monsters especially Gross.
If any of the offense translates they are both nhl’rs and Gross has a pretty gross shot from the video.
I think people will be surprised

Hmm. Is his shot gross or groß? Big difference there.

I wonder when we see him in the lineup. Can’t imagine you want him to wait too long between game action but also needs a few practices. Florida may not be the worst game to do it? Second night of back to back for them. They are bad this year.
After that it’s all tougher competition

gotta think the club gives him at least 3 practices with the guys before throwing him into the fire....and NHL teams simply dont practice that often anymore with mandated days off and the compressed schedule....so maybe TB on Sunday or more likely the Kings on Tuesday.
