Bahl just turned 25 so his best years are probably all still ahead of him. I think he could become a legitimate top pairing shut down guy for a few seasons.

It’s a gamble, but it makes sense to pay players for what you think they will do in the future and not for what they did in the past.

In all honesty I had no idea who Dylan Samberg was on the Jets and he is a bit older and got $5.75M. Maybe shame on me for not knowing him but I feel like that is the going rate for a mid 20’s middle pairing Dman

Too many of these "models" and "experts" judge dman by points...Bahl was excellent for the Flames last year at you know, defending.

Regehr averaged 2.25 goals a year for his career but was one of the better dman the team has ever had.
