Our existing lineup can't score. So what is the downside of putting Suniev in (or other players although callups are an issue). They struggle to score too?
Connie saying its up to the coach and we will see should have been "we are going to find an opportunity for him to play down the stretch at some point"

They struggle to score and get run over defensively so they can't even take a 5 on 5 shift.
For the most parts the forwards are two way players.

Farabee's confidence was destroyed by Torts. If you want to further obliterate that confidence, healthy scratching him here will sure do that.

Yeah, if you want to put Suniev in the lineup, sure - have at 'er. But Farabee is not the guy to pull out of the lineup to make room for him. That would be a brutal blow to his confidence when he is working hard right now and doing so many things right.

Putting Suniev in to score and save the Flames is unwise. He hasnt fought in battles yet , and meritocracy should matter to any coach
My example SVEN F ing Baertche. Anyone remember that ? If youve been a fan long enough and remember and believed thr hype WOW that was a spectacular display of dumb.
So yeah. Suniev will get his day . Sunny doesnt need to be thrown immediately into fire .
It would be like the Canadian army being sent to battle with thier plastic knives and forks.
The culture of this team, its management, coaching is changing for the better and the jump to NHL and thr example of even Matt Coronato needing time is perfect.
- skating at this level hell be exposed, rocked even, because thr playoffs have basically already started.
- maybe adrenaline gets him by for 2 or 3 games but mistakes end up in our net right now and that's not good.
Let him watch. If he sits with Iginla Conny and Gelinas hell learn some things he woulsnt normally get to hesr and learn .
Get Danielle Fujita on the ice with him immediately because if he ends up like Coronato we win big time . ....those 2 are id say a huge part of thr future of goals assists and wins ....but just not righf now.
If only we could just insert our prospects immediately...sign me up.
Fellas ....thia team is slowly taking shape right in front of our eyes and one day well see payoff finally.
Go Flames Go....

Whether Suniev plays or not depends on what he shows in practice.
He needs to show he can keep up with the pace in practice and understand the system requirements of the team. If he can do that, he might get in.
If not, he will likely get a game or two after the Flames are eliminated.

In the details of the game he's one of the team's best forwards right now.
Nowhere near my scratch list.

He is constantly on a bee-line to the net, stick on the ice. I love it.

What's the downside of any forward missing assignments all over the ice at this time of the season, because they haven't practiced, let alone learned those assignments?

Only chance he gets in the lineup, is if the Flames are officially eliminated from the playoffs,
