The post was obviously fake. The likes are real and even Yakemchuck liked it as well. He’s really nothing burger. Sharangovich liked a news alert of Ruff getting fired. Calling it Rob Schremp is ridiculous.

This year (for the first time) they are allowed up to 25 players on their roster. And they don't have 25 (either 22 or 23 currently, not sure which). If they wanted to, they could call up other players. Parekh for sure, because he was on the pre-tournament roster, not sure about Yakemchuk or Senneke.

So yes, Mynio was the spare, but they could have gone outside of that if they wanted. For instance, if they wanted a PP quarterback, they had one available.
Bob McKenzie just tweeted that once Rehkopf is added and he expects he will be the 25 man roster is complete.

It is purely politics. It is now made even funnier because Canada can't set up a powerplay to save their lives... Partially because they left players like Parekh and Yakemchuk off the team.

These kids are absolutely allowed to mock this result. Canada is getting what it deserves. Cameron is getting what he deserves.

It's absolutely hilarious.
Yeah, there is an important spot on the team, for which he is the best player available. Most of the kids at this age have holes in their games, but that's just what you have to deal with.

It was one thing that he got cut - they obviously felt that they didn't need his skillset, and they already had a PP quarterback. However, especially with Shaefer hurt, it became blatantly obvious that they were wrong, and he should be there.

So, while I generally don't like to see kids doing stuff like that in social media, I think he is pretty justified here. And it wasn't rude or nasty, just a 'hey, you guys could use a player like me' kind of a thing. I can forgive him here, and I like that he has a chip on his shoulder.

But that doesn't change the fact that they could have added Parekh

And with Schaefer out, adding a defenseman makes more sense, IMO.

They could have but they are dumb and they suffer now. Bonk is terrible on the PP. I dont see that changing overnight.

Dave Cameron is much smarter than us.

He didn’t even say anything. They are just harmless likes and some retweets. They are also 18. A couple of poster on the last page crying about him having a bad attitude is hilarious.

Just look at the NFL for example during the draft. Old tweets being pulled out when they are 15/16 saying racist and homophobic things and guys still go 1 overall.

Would it be hilarious if Bedard cheered Sweden beating Canada at the Four Nations Cup because he was salty at not being picked for the team? Or would it be kinda selfish and ######y?

The Athletic guys last night said they hadn’t registered their taxi yet and had the option to drop on a guy like Parekh if they wanted

It would be entirely hilarious. These guys tried to get cute and think they're smarter than everyone else, and when you act that way and don't deliver in sports, you should expect to be made fun of.

I guess I'm missing something, but I don't see how Parekh did anything terrible by posting a Quinn Hughes video. If he actually came out and said something negative about HC or was throwing a temper tantrum about being left off the team, sure, I'd get that. But a Quinn Hughes video is some sort of burn? I must be missing something.

Parekh didn't cheer for Sweden, he was making the comment that they lost because they couldn't score, and maybe adding some of the most talented offensive players in the world (under 20) might have been a strategy to consider.

I doubt the guys on the WJC roster - who Parekh might find himself playing with next year - found it very funny that he cheered their loss. Cheering against your own team is pretty selfish.

It was connected to his like of the 2-3 score against Latvia

He liked the result, then posted videos of Makar and Hughes owning the offensive blueline - which of course, he is awesome at, and the Canadian defense was horrible at, last night.

It was a pretty clear and direct comment that they should have picked him, and effed up by not doing so.

I think everyone can see that the comment was directed at the coaching staff who picked the team, not the players.

I like a player who speaks his mind, selections were a joke. Andrew Gibson should be a depth player on this team not playing 20 minutes, do they think this guy is Drew Doughty? Bonk should not even be on the team. Dumb dumb dumb

Firstly, was that 'like' even real?

Secondly, I think we're reaching here a bit to crap on a guy for posting videos of the two best offensive d-men in the league right now. Maybe he just likes the way they play??

They had Bonk quarterbacking the PP, which he doesn't even do on the Knights (they use him as the bumper).

With Schaefere gone, none of the other defensemen could run the PP. So they brought in Mynio.

To be clear, I am not crapping on him.

He was cheering? Maybe I missed him in the crowd with his Latvia jersey.

Seems like a few posters are salty more so than the players.
