This thread could run for an infinite number if posts over an infinite timeline across the multiverse and there still probably isn’t anything new to be said.

He didn’t get any blocks yesterday, so stuck at 10.

It was a silly thread to begin with and expectedly devolved into people trying to make the snarkiest comment.

Are they going to send Huberdeau and Kadri to the press box to send a message that is known? They are still people that need to be managed.

They should absolutely try it. Anything. Like you said he is in Calgary forever still.
Saying he's the second highest scorer doesn't mean much when he's on pace for like 40 something points. It's absolutely meaningless stat, give his icetime to someone else and you may very well get equal production.

What is the upside though? He isn’t blocking anyone and all it will accomplish is pissing him off. It’s not like a press box session will turn his game around.
It’s not a meaningless stat for a team who wants to win. He is still one of the top forwards on the team and that is why their forward core sucks.

The fact that he's the second highest player on the team in scoring is as much an indictment on the team as him. Flames are tied for 5th worst goals for per game.

I guess technically he is 2nd in scoring amongst forwards. 7th in points per 60 and dropping like a rock.
There is really not a metric out there that paints a positive picture of his play.

What? I’m not disagreeing with him.
Although I do see Bonded calls him one of the top forwards in the team. I don’t think he is at all, not holistically.

In his defence...he is keeping us Cap-Floor Compliant! So hes got that going for him, which is nice.

I may be jumping the gun here, but based on his play so far this season I think this puts his contract from being 'worst in NHL history' to just 'bad'. And that's a start!

Lol. If he can get up to 70 points, definitely. Then it's a 2-3 million dollar overpayment, which is pretty typical of a lot of ufa contracts.
In 2-3 years every top line player will be signing for $10 million. If Huberdeau maintains 70-80 point play, that would make his contract fair. An issue will be how his play stands up as he ages.
