Probably plays 12-15 minutes and is relatively useless.
They just want the headlines and talking points, which is a ridiculous reason to rush anybody back.

So...Oilers.
Maybe they'll sacrifice a big chunk of their season for McDavid to play tomorrow.

This is how I got the first heritage classic jersey for $25, and the second one for $80 (with the fight strap)

Some Flames Heritage Classic branded stuff will likely go on sale, jerseys and other non-specific HC won't because they are using the jerseys a few more times this year.

Was the nature of Conna’s injury ever made clear?

Watch him get hit and the Flames get accused of “targeting” his injury.

Maybe the NHL will give him a yellow non contact jersey. I am willing to wager we get at least one penalty for hurting McDavid's feelings.

I'm sorry but its professional hockey, if McDavid plays the flames would be stupid not to throw a lot of hits at him and do a lot of board grinding using him as a surf board.
If they don't do that, then I have serious questions.

Yeah finishing hits against an opponent is simply hockey. It's not targeting a player at all.
If a guy has a bad ankle and you're running around trying to slash him all game it gets a little iffy on the morale spectrum.

McDavid to score late - on the power play - to turn a 6-0 drubbing into a 6-1 laugher, would be fine by me.
I don't even want a good game here. I want people in blue jerseys leaving with 10 minutes left.

Thing is, finishing hits against players like McDavid is always a strategy. But it’s not so easy, he’s too skilled to expose himself in open ice and he doesn’t spend much time holding the puck along the boards.
So I’d hitting McDavid is suddenly your game plan you end up chasing him around the ice for little benefit.

He’s usually too skilled and fast to get hit hard. But if his back is killing him he’s going to be less mobile and more vulnerable.
Edit: the other possibility is they give him so much pain killer and freezing he doesn’t notice what his body would normally be telling him in-game an he worsens his injury.

Exactly, the hits don’t need to be big. But every whistle give him a nudge. It’ll start to wear on him if he’s nursing something still

I hear you. But that means the Flames have to score 6 goals.
2-1 is more realistic.

You're trying way too hard here. The Flames have 3 even lines - call this the 3rd one if it makes more sense for you.

He’ll play as a PP specialist. So 20-24 mins. As usual.

I know nobody is advocating for this but the Flames don’t need to worry about McDavid at all. They need to worry about themselves and why they don’t care anymore.

Mcdavis playing is only a good thing. Worst case they destroy the flames big deal we need to tank anyway. Best case he gets injured more and highlights more incompetence by that org
